Ahlusions Tobacco Question

Didn't want to post this in the HUGE Ahlusions thread because I was afraid it would get lost. I got Blue Grass Burley, Devil Dog!, and Smooth Criminal. I normally vape from a eGo Twist with a 2.4 or 2.8 ohm head in Vision clearomizers. I know it's not the juices fault, this stuff is the spot on pipe tobacco flavor I was hoping for, but it seems to burn up/dirty up a clearomizer coil before I'm done with the 1.6ml clearo. Anything I'm doing wrong? What setup do most of you vape your Ahlusions juice with? I also got a sample of Chai Latte, as I'm a tea drinker, and it is spot on as can be! Awesome juices, I just feel my equipment is ruining it.

Have you tried cartos? I notice I prefer that over clears for tobacco flavor juices it provides a different taste than the csilica wire in clears. What voltage are you vaping at if you are getting a burnt taste sounds like the voltage may be too high

Well, no and yes I have tried cartos. Not with a decent atomizer though so I just gave up on those and went to mainly clearos and dripping at home to test different flavors. I find in the clearo with a 2.4 ohm head, it vapes fine at 3.8v with a brand new head, but I quickly have to dial the voltage down throughout the clearo fill until I'm at about 3.2. I usually vape all my other juices with no problem at 2.4 ohms and 4v for weeks before they gunk up my clearos. I'm a guy on the go and really want to bring these Ahlusions vapes with me, so dripping isn't an option, I need a solution that I can take at least a ml with me all day in some kind of tank.

For BGB and DD, I use a Kanger T3 clearomizer. They're fantastic juices, but they clog up my equipment too fast. When I use them with a carto/tank, I maybe get two tanks before the cartomizer clogs up. In my experience with NET juices, I get more mileage out of clearos than cartos.

I'm kind of a chain vaper as well, so maybe I'm heating it up too quick, I dunno. All I know is the flavor drops dramatically.

That's awesome that you like those tobaccos! I'm a big fan myself. I'm a dripper so just an atty. It really doesn't seem to clog up my atties that much faster then other juices. I tried it in a carto and it was no good that way, carto didn't like it and the flavor was way off. Not much experience with clearos, but I wouldn't want something that would mute those juices.

I'm so with you on the chai latte. Spot on flavor, just amazing.

Hmm, maybe I should just stick to a good dripping atty at home to enjoy this stuff. It really is too good to just fill a clearo and go out with anyway!

Good idea! Those aromatics to me are really best for relaxing while vaping. I have menthol juices for on the go mindless vaping (probably because all my mindless smoking was menthol lol). The aromatics are good for a short session while I appreciate it.

Edit: and if you keep your coil wet and blow the atty out good afterwards it won't dirty it up.

Smooth Criminal is vaping pretty well in my clearo so far, but I'm sure it will fade next fill. Devil Dog and Blue Grass Burley didn't even make it half way through a clearo before they got the burnt taste goin' on. Man this stuff is good regardless! I'll just find a good dripping atty or steal my girlfriend's as she doesn't really use it anyway

Tulsa, I vaped an entire 15 mls of Smooth Criminal (70pg/30vg) through the same doggone carto! (A V4L vertical coil Wow carto). SC is definitely more equipment-friendly than the aromatics.

I have SC steeping but it looks pretty clean and clear. Not dark like the aromatics. Eleanor, how long did you let the SC steep for?

I use either a 510 atty to drip BGB or a genesis atty like my ZEN or AGA-T. The aromatics like BGB or DD tend to kill my cartos pretty quickly causing them to read all kinds of crazy resistances over the course of a few ml. If you're curious at all about genesis style attys, I highly recommend trying the Ahlusion aromatic NETs in one. The flavor is amazing and you don't have to worry about clogging or killing your coils.

Tulsa, I vaped an entire 15 mls of Smooth Criminal (70pg/30vg) through the same doggone carto! (A V4L vertical coil Wow carto). SC is definitely more equipment-friendly than the aromatics.

Yep, I put it to the test today, it did quite well vs the Devil Dog and Blue Grass Burley.

I steeped mine with the lid off for 72 hours (meant to do 48 but forgot about it). I let it sit with the lid and cap on for a week after that. Tastes great now, didn't taste it new so I don't know if there was a difference.

I confess I began enjoying him as a Juvenile Delinquent, at a mere 2 weeks steep. But SC just keeps getting better from there!

It gunks my coils up real quick. I think most NET and/or dark juices will (this Cafe Coffee I have from MtBV is even worse at making gunk).

Good dry burn, clean or switch out the wick, good to go.

Cool, thanks. That's only a few more days and it will come out with the Chai Latte. The chai's been a little upset sitting in the steep box. It knows I loved it right away. I've explained to it that it's not that I don't care, I really do, but I would like to see it reach full potential. Children, so impatient at times.
