It is frigid outside. I'm to squeamish to use it inside certain places so I ran outside and I don't think it was working so well outside pulling in really cold air.
I smoke mine inside most of the time.
I think when you smoke it outside you notice the vapor blow away in the wind, and since it disapears faster than real smoke anyway you get the idea that its not smoking to good ....Think of it like this .... When you go outside and have a real cig, are you standing outside in the cold trying to see how much smoke you can blow .... I dont do that with a real cig, But i have to say i do somtimes try and do just that with my e-cig ....lol lol .... I even go outside in the cold Scotish weather and try and blow smoke rings with my e-cig ....I think one lasted about 0.003 of a sec

as e-liquid is mostly an oil based product ( PG ) it's viscosity increases with lower temperature's
As the liquid is thicker when it's cooler
1. it doesnt wick so well into the atomizer
2. it takes longer to atomize the liquid/reach atomization temperature

Apostle, does it ever get too cold you wouldn't recommend using it outside or if left in my car? winter in Eastern Canada can get pretty bad up to minus 35C as I cringe & watch our first snowstorm outside
I do have a tendency to put my ecig on the windowsill (use the windowill as table while sitting on my sofa..) and last few days & noticed the atomizer really cold from just lying there ..I've read that the atomizer "something" ? can snap or did I imagine reading that somewhere?
jeez , at minus 35 C the battery would just not work. like everything else electrical the battery has optimum operating tempertures plus at thos temps ( -35 holy cow ) your liquid wont freeze but i'm sure it will be like jello.
I'm no expert on the matter but if your e-cigs indoors with you it wont get too cold to use, same in the car.
as for the atomizer "something" snapping , i can't imagine what that refered to off hand. it would have to get extremely cold for the metal to distort to the point of breakage. it may be the atomizer coil it was refering to , that's the only really delicate component in the atomizer. if that was to get too cold it may shrink and therefore break but im guessing out loud here.Again it would be extreme temps but your dealing with up to -35C so possible maybe...
right..So back to the main topic..
Compactman, the beauty of e-cigs was to save us from freezing our "Canadian butts" off this winter ..let's enjoy the freedom again...for just a little while..
(even if it's in the bathroom cause too nervous about the public..)
