About a month ago I woke up in the middle of the night hacking my lungs out, then it happened 3 more times over the course of the week. I can be pretty dense sometimes, but even I could take that hint. I'd been smoking for over 15 years, and I cut my smoking from a pack a day to a few cigs a day, but the nicotine cravings were getting to me...enter vaping.

A number of people at my job have switched to vaping, but I said I never would because the vaporizers they are using are HUGE and looked ridiculous to me. Then I found the cigalikes, tried the Njoy King and Blu which I liked, but they just didnt last long enough to make it cost effective. I picked up a Clean Cig from the gas station for 15 bucks, its slightly larger and much heavier than an analogue cig, but I could recharge and refill it, but refilling became a pain in the .... with its cartomizer setup.

I found this website and started searching for cig size vaporizers and found a great review on the eRoll and that was good enough for me. Its been about a week now and am very pleased, both with the eRoll and with the lack of smoking (though, I do usually smoke one after lunch at work). I'm really looking forward to having a sense of smell again, and not stinking like an ash tray, and being able to go biking without feeling like I'm dying on the inside.

Thanks to this forum, and joyetech!

Glad you found what you were looking for on ECF. If it weren't for ECF I would have never been a vaper. Everything you need to know about vaping can be found on this web site.

The eRoll has gained a lot of popularity here all of a sudden. Eventually you will want something that lasts all day on a charge. The eRoll will be a good backup when that happens. We all need a backup. Mine was a Joye 510 and then an eGo, which is kind of like your eRoll.

(edit) They're not bad, they have the Ego-c atomizer, look pretty snazzy, have an iphone-esque case, 1000mah battery, the kit hits all the high spots. The atomizers are a little pricey, at $4-5 each, though, but the starter pack at $50 isn't a bad deal, and they get good reviews for performance.

I've been dripping on eGo-C atomizers for months before I grabbed my eRoll. I do use a light, thin menthol but I've averaged nearly 2 months on one atomizer head. Clean the things regularly and they will last a good while.

Despite owning a couple of eGo style batteries, I prefer the cig-alikes. The eRoll is the best I've used in form and function.

Thanks folks :)

I went with the eRoll because of its analogue-like size and weight, I really enjoyed smoking, so I wanted (needed) something as close to analogue as I could find while still having quality and replaceable parts. Plus, I cant imagine lugging around one of those huge bazookas my friends at work use (though I'm slightly envious of the thunderhead size clouds they produce).

A lot of the guys at work said I'd eventually upgrade to something bigger and better, but I'm hoping I dont...while I enjoy smoking/vaping, I'd eventually like to quit all together. The eRolls small tanks and relatively short battery life forces me to keep my vaping intake at a minimum, I know if I had something with a huge tank and battery I'd be chain vaping and probably taking in more nicotine than I was when I was smoking (well, maybe not, but still...). Eventually I'm going to try switching to nicotine-free juice and see how well that works.

Johnnie Price, how do you drip on the eGo-C / eRoll atomizers? Do you remove the cone and tank? Sorry, I'm still pretty noobish with most of this.

Congrats!

I have to agree that the eRoll is fantastic. I don't use cigalikes often, but I love how tiny it is and the amount of vapor and flavor you can get out of it. It's amazing for such a small thing.

Keep up the good work!

Edit: In regards to the battery. I find I can vape for over a half hour straight until I need to charge it. Even doing that the battery for the pcc lasts me all day easily. Is the pcc running out of battery during the day?

I haven't dripped on the eRoll yet, but it would be pretty simple to do.

First take the eGo-c atomizer. Using some pliers or a micro screwdriver, remove the spike. It comes off pretty easily. This part isn't required, but the flavor seems to improve with the spike removed.

Then take an empty tank. The top part of the mouth piece can be pulled out with a micro screwdriver. There is also an inner ring underneath the mouthpiece. Remove this part too. I do on all of my tanks because it mutes the throat hit and flavor if you leave this piece in. The bottom of the tank has a cap on it as well, so that can be removed too.

Now drip 2 or 3 drops onto the bare coil, insert the disassembled tank and take a long, slow draw. You'll get about 5 or 6 good draws before it begins to dry and it needs a few more drops.

Be aware that dripping on automatic batteries can ruin the switch and cause them not to function any long. I've ruined a few this way, though I still drip on my autos.

who'd a thunk it! I'd never have imagined ;; I'm still not sure what all that means; at first read I thought it was about how to drip on an eroll, but on second read I'm thinking its about taking out the middle parts of and ego-c and using it for dripping?

Mostly about the eRoll, though I have removed the spike on all my eGo-C atties for dripping. For about 8 months direct dripping on an eGo-C atomizer was the only way I vaped. I still prefer it actually. :)

I agree, the eRoll produces a mighty cloud for its tiny size, pretty smooth too, I'm diggin it.

The PCC battery lasts me a couple days, and the eRoll batt does last plenty long, I was just comparing it to the battery in my Clean Cig, which definitely lasts longer (but its at least double the weight of the eRoll...I'll happily take that trade off!).

Thats excellent info, thank you. I have taken my atomizers and tanks apart for cleaning a couple times, and have some spares coming in the mail so I'll have to give that a shot. I didnt think about keeping the inner ring out, I'll have to try that too. I did try removing the spike and dropping one or two small drops on the coil, then quickly reassembling the unit and taking a long slow drag, was very nice. I may have to build a dedicated drip setup...

Once I pulled the plastic tank out of my ego-c and put some eliq in the cone and sucked on the cone, and looooved the cloud but of course it leaked all over the place, and I endedup trying to rinse my battery off and thats how i killed my first egotwist!

hmmm; just noticed the base of the evod can screw on over the top of the base part that goes on the ego-c; wonder if I can do anything with that? nope; no way to fit an atomizer....
