Hey guys, still a newbie here, but I speak electronics so I have an advanced newb question. I took apart an atty and did my research here on the forum. I understand coil wrapping and wicks and pretty much all the basics...except airflow. I'm trying to design/build my very own atty, and I've drawn the simple diagram, but can someone please explain where the air comes and goes (well, I guess I know where it eventually winds up...hehe) when you draw on a carto? I know this is modding 101, but I don't think I'll get it until someone can explain this in idiot language for me. TIA.

State side
On a carto, air enters through gaps on the battery connector then goes up through the center hole in the + terminal of the carto. Then passes over the coil to continue up the center hole in the filler to the drip tip.

Some gennies use the same method while others have a side hole that aligns with the coil in the chamber. Hope that helps.
