So I'm going on a cruise in a few months. I'm wonder if anyone has had any issues taking there e cig into another counrty leaving off a ship or threw customs. OR if there are any issues with security at the air port?? It's not a long flight so I don't need to smoke on the plane but i just wanna make sure there are gonna try and take it from me or make me trash it! I'm already gonna be coming back with breastmilk so god knows how thats gonna go!

Most people don't have issues in airports, but you never know if you are going to have the one security guard give you a hard time, which is a big concern when you will not have access to a vapor shop or internet shopping! my advice would be pack one unit and supplies in your carry on and one in your checked bag. That will double your changes ;)

I have yet to hear of anybody getting their electronic cigarettes taken, even the ones that look like bomb detonators.

I have flown many times with my Chucks (pictured on the left) and never even been questioned about them.
I put them in a bin and run them through the scanner next to my shoes.

As far as internationally, I have only flown in and out of Cancun since I started vaping.
But again, not a single problem or question.

There are some good sticky threads in the Travel and E-Cig subforum...

And in that same subforum there are a number of threads about cruising as well.

We've been on quite a few cruises and on several flights since I began vaping over 2 years ago (we average 6 cruises a year). No problem using them anywhere on the ship (I don't vape in dining rooms or eating areas). Never had any problem carrying them off and back on the ship at the ports. Also, no problem carrying e-cigs, extra batteries, atomizers, chargers and sample size bottles of e-liquid through security at airports.

According to Carnival's FAQs about smoking:

Effective December 1, 2011, smoking will be prohibited in all guest staterooms. Guests in balcony staterooms may smoke (including cigars) outside on their balcony.
Guests who smoke in their staterooms will be assessed a $250 cleaning and refreshing fee on their Sail & Sign account. Information on this fee is included in Carnival’s ticket contract.
Note: Electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes are only allowed in the designated smoking areas.
