I have taken vaping stuff on airplanes 4 times now, 3 of them international flights. I make sure and put my juice in the baggies and the other stuff I just have in my purse or carry on. I have only had to explain what it was once and then no problems. The TSA is pretty well aware of ecigs .
Thanks for the information. What do you carry on and what do you check? Do you take off the cartomizer from the battery or leave the unit together. This will be my first flight with vaping stuff. THANKS

I just went through SFO International Security twice (they canceled my first flight Friday night) to Sydney. Friday night I forgot to pull my eGo Passthrough out..but it went through no problem. Saturday I pulled it out and put it in the bin and it passed no problem. I did carry my batteries for my ePower with me in my backpack and packed the rest in my checked luggage...everything went through fine.

Sitting in my hotel room in Sydney with a Gin & Tonic and vaping some KBV Candy Bar 18MG from my ePower PV...life is good!!

I don't trust anything in baggage. I put the ejuice, atomizers, and batteries in separate zip-locks and lay them out in the tray for open inspection. After about a dozen trips (all domestic to U.S.) I haven't had any problems or even a question so far.
Good to know. I wan't to take 5- 10ml bottles of juice, 5 carto's and a E-power with 4 batteries, do you( AlwaysVegas ) or anyone else think that would be a problem for carry on ??

No, that shouldn't be a problem. On my recent trip, I carried on several 5ml bottles plus a 10ml bottle, a couple atties, a couple cartos, about 12 510-batteries and 3 single-batt chargers and I had no trouble going through security either way.

Somewhere out there
I just recently flew and put my small e liquid bottles in the liquid zip lock baggie and I put my batts in with my camera case and had a few cartos in my wallet. No problem. Now coming back going thru security they scanned my purse again and then a security guard said I have to search your purse. Then it dawned on me I had a picked up a small jar of jelly as a souveneir and it was in my purse! A no no as it is considered a gel. Darn I was really sad to have to throw it out, but e cigs no problemo :) bnrk

I took a flight to Saint Louis MO. from Denver and checked my extra batteries and chargers and (50ml juice in a Zip lock bag so not to worry about a leak) in a case inside my luggage, and took my E-Power, (a extra battery and 3 cartomizers in a A zip lock bag) and just put it in the tray will the rest of my stuff and it went right through. I then went thru the body scan and when they motioned me to come on thru the officer ask me, do you have anything on you, I said no. Then he said whats is in you shirt pocked and I reached up and felt my shirt pocked and felt a 10ml bottle of E-Juice that I had forgot was there, I thought oh no now what, I took it out and handed it to him and he asked what it was and I told him it was fluid for my PV. It was labeled and he looked at the label and handed it to me and said OK. Coming back to Denver I made sure I checked all my pockets before I went thru. LOL

FYI for next time you fly -
Lithium batteries are not supposed to be in checked luggage. You're supposed to transport them in your carryon.
Thats true, I just didn't want to take 6 of them on the plane so I put 4 in my checked bags, but I guess next time I will carry them all with my carry on. The rules looked like a pain, needing to put tape or something over each loose battery or maybe a case would be OK. I don't know for sure.

You should be fine carrying all three. Just take them out and visible when going through security, i've heard a few people say they look like large bullet casings on the Xray ;-) When I flew last month I carried on all my vaping gear and they didn't even question it (Darwin, cartos, attys and DCA)

dumb question- ego batts are lithium? I am flying tomorrow and have 3 with me, was only going to carry on one because I am afraid they will take them

Your not carrying anything illegal, I carry mine all the time through security. I always have them disassembled in my carry-on when going through the scanners.

I actually had my Lithium batteries taken from me in Costa Rica. It was a connecting flight to Peru and they had the secondary bag search before going into the waiting area to board and they made me throw my extra tenergy 3.7V for my prodigy that were in my carry on bag away. I was so ...... off.

Well can't do much to fight security when you have a flight to catch but were all the lithium batts for laptops and cameras also taken from passengers? I fly a bunch and always carry a cork screw on my carry-on, never had a problem except last May from LAX to NRT, a young TSA girl told me I will have to throw it away, had time so asked for a supervisor and he said it was OK. Now if I was rushing for the flight I would have had no choice but to throw it away.

Jumping into the thread.. I am flying from USA to Paris in two weeks and have been worried about taking my E-Cig and supplies. What about my blunt tip needle? Has anyone had any problem?

<----- My avatar has a sharp tip needle just to prove a point, Chicago to Frankfurt, circa 2008.
