I've been vaping since mid November and my wife and I have tried a variety of flavors from several local vendors. I have noticed that when I use a fruit flavor like, banana, berry, apple etc I initially get a slight tightening of the throat. Most of the time I just feel a slight constriction of the airway, sometimes it actually makes me cough. This is not a deep lung smokers cough, closer to the cough you get when you walk outside in subzero temperature and that freezing air hits your throat.

I thought this was pg sensitivity at first, however I believe I've ruled that out. I have a bottle of honey tobacco that is 70pg / 30vg and have no problem, yet a 60pg / 40vg bottle of blackberry causes the constriction.

Does anyone know what might cause this? Is there a common ingredient in fruit flavors I might be reacting to?

I have tried 6 different companies. I don't want to name any companies because I'm sure this is me not them, my wife has no issues.

Company A 60pg / 40vg:
pipe tobacco - smooth as silk
Maple tobacco - darker throat hit but no breathing problems
Blackberry - smooth clean flavor, throat tightens

Company B - 70pg/30vg
Honey tobacco - lite and sweet
Cherry - very sweet, throat tightens

Both places have all American sourced juices and both named the companies where they buy pg, vg, and flavor.
