@Nuggetlife and welcome to ECF! Unfortunately I have not tried AJ Vapes. I did however google them, and there appear to be quite a few Australian vendors that carry this line.
As you are aware, eliquid containing nicotine cannot be sold in Australia, so all the AJ Vapes liquid sold here is zero nicotine. I did a 'dummy run' on a few sites and popped a few bottles in my cart. Some places have free postage if you spend more than $50 and some charge $7.95 for postage.
If you are wanting the eliquid to contain nicotine then you obviously have to buy from an overseas site. This is when the cost of shipping becomes a killer - as you have probably found out!
Keep in mind as well, that different states here have different rules regarding importation of products containing nicotine. Not knowing where you live, it is difficult to help you out.
From what I can see, AJ Vapes have a low nicotine content anyway (3 or 6mg?). Sorry if I have read this incorrectly, but if this is the case, you could possibly order the zero eliquid from Australia (free postage) and buy some nicotine base from overseas.
You could then add a little nicotine base to each bottle of eliquid. The tiny amount would not change the flavour of the eliquid too much I don't think. So to make 3mg strength
you would add 3.6 mls of 100mg/ml nic to 120mls of 0mg. (I buy my nicotine base from HiLiq.com but there are many places you can order from).
