I am looking to purchase a mechanical mod to compliment my Provari as well as venture into the mechanical realm. I really like the Akuma, I've read about it quite a bit as well as checked it out at our local vape shop. I've also watched quite a few youtube videos reviewing the Akuma as well as comparing the Genuine Akuma vs. the Akuma Clone.
I have read that there have been some issues with the Akuma's firing button/switch and I read it was best to get the newest version (correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's the 1.5). I want an authentic Black and Copper Akuma and the one at the local vape shop has the Akuma with the bottom switch that's been detailed with the clay. I noticed that some bottoms of authentic ones I've seen for sale online only have a copper bottom with no clay detail.
How do I tell the difference other than asking if it's a newer v.1.5 or the older v.1.0 (with the wonky button), is there a way to tell? Do the old ones not have the clay detail/is that only on the new version? Does a certain serial number start the new version 1.5?
Any help would be appreciated
