To all my fellow Malaysian vapers! You should try porous ceramic wick if you're using genesis style atty!!! It is much much cleaner, healthier! Flavor, it is DAMN PURE! The purest I have ever experienced! Vapor, CHOO~CHOO~! Like stream train! Too easy to rebuild! Less than 5 minutes! Too easy to get rid of annoying hot spots! No more torching, oxidizing! No more rolling! No more shorts like on ss mesh!
After read this thread:http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...stems/379380-fc-2000-porous-ceramic-wick.html and then this one: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/362182-next-big-thing-porous-ceramic-wicks.html, so I started to DIY my own ceramic wick... Shopped almost every aquarium stores in my town, finally I found the right ceramic air bubble stones suited for making wick.
Stone C failed fire test... Stone A too rough, too fragile...
Torch the stone hot red, passed the test...
Cut and grind with diamond cutting wheels and grinding wheels...
Behind the papers is my mini lathe machine...
Torch it hot red with gas cooker(faster) for killing germs
D), then cook it several minutes, change water, cook again 3 times(as you like).
Dried then and storage..., enough for few months vape...
Due to the stone is too fragile(like egg shell), the limit diameter I can grind is 2.8-2.9mm, but the wick hole on my AGA-T+ is less than 3mm... I have to drill the wick hole larger with 3mm drill bit... (scary...)
But... for the first time, the vapor is very poor! Lot of hot spot! And taste is awful! I have to keep vaping until half tank of juice, then it started to breaking in... Very very disappointed... Tried my second AGA-T+... same. I have to wait for the coil to oxidize and builds its coating! But when it started breaking in, WOW! The flavor tasted so so pure! But I hate to wait!?!
A week trying to find a way to solve this problem...
Google everything about ceramic wick... Thinking of giving up... wasted my precious times...
UNTIL I FOUND THIS WONDERFUL VIDEO!!!

Tried it... YES! And EVERYTHING SOLVED! TASTE AWESOME! NO MORE HOT SPOTS!! NO MORE WAITING!!! Few days of hard works cutting and grinding those ceramic wicks, NOTHING WASTED! (tear dropped...)

Picture of rebuild again using Rip Trippers' method...
Due to the AGA-T+'s wick hole is still too far away to center post, I have to twist the coil end backward to the wick, this will get rid of hot spots there... This method I learnt from eHuman here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...a-tiamat-plus-w-glass-tank-9.html#post8382872. Or washer can be help too.
The coil must be completely snug against to the wick to avoid hot spots.
Video on next post.
