To all my fellow Malaysian vapers! You should try porous ceramic wick if you're using genesis style atty!!! It is much much cleaner, healthier! Flavor, it is DAMN PURE! The purest I have ever experienced! Vapor, CHOO~CHOO~! Like stream train! Too easy to rebuild! Less than 5 minutes! Too easy to get rid of annoying hot spots! No more torching, oxidizing! No more rolling! No more shorts like on ss mesh!

After read this thread:http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...stems/379380-fc-2000-porous-ceramic-wick.html and then this one: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/362182-next-big-thing-porous-ceramic-wicks.html, so I started to DIY my own ceramic wick... Shopped almost every aquarium stores in my town, finally I found the right ceramic air bubble stones suited for making wick.

Stone C failed fire test... Stone A too rough, too fragile...

Torch the stone hot red, passed the test...

Behind the papers is my mini lathe machine... :D
IMG_1415_zps4cc96d66.jpg

Torch it hot red with gas cooker(faster) for killing germs:)D), then cook it several minutes, change water, cook again 3 times(as you like).

Dried then and storage..., enough for few months vape... :D
IMG_1420_zpsf993481a.jpg

Due to the stone is too fragile(like egg shell), the limit diameter I can grind is 2.8-2.9mm, but the wick hole on my AGA-T+ is less than 3mm... I have to drill the wick hole larger with 3mm drill bit... (scary...)

IMG_1403_zpsdcbb09b3.jpg

But... for the first time, the vapor is very poor! Lot of hot spot! And taste is awful! I have to keep vaping until half tank of juice, then it started to breaking in... Very very disappointed... Tried my second AGA-T+... same. I have to wait for the coil to oxidize and builds its coating! But when it started breaking in, WOW! The flavor tasted so so pure! But I hate to wait!?!
A week trying to find a way to solve this problem... :?::cry: Google everything about ceramic wick... Thinking of giving up... wasted my precious times...

UNTIL I FOUND THIS WONDERFUL VIDEO!!! :w00t::w00t::w00t:

Tried it... YES! And EVERYTHING SOLVED! TASTE AWESOME! NO MORE HOT SPOTS!! NO MORE WAITING!!! Few days of hard works cutting and grinding those ceramic wicks, NOTHING WASTED! (tear dropped...) :D:D:D

Picture of rebuild again using Rip Trippers' method...

IMG_1424_zps3a8b64d7.jpg

IMG_1435_zpsee18b8cc.jpg

Due to the AGA-T+'s wick hole is still too far away to center post, I have to twist the coil end backward to the wick, this will get rid of hot spots there... This method I learnt from eHuman here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...a-tiamat-plus-w-glass-tank-9.html#post8382872. Or washer can be help too.

The coil must be completely snug against to the wick to avoid hot spots.

Here the video in action. :D

:headbang::banana::banana::banana::headbang:

If you can't DIY for yourself, you can just order online here:
discountvapers.com

or here:
FC-2000 Porous Ceramic Wicks

But seem like they are out of stock... sorry:oops:

And if you don't want to get risk to drill your AGA-T+'s wick hole larger, remember to order size 3/32"(2.4mm) diameter. But I think 1/8" diameter is better, much durable. You don't want to break it while installing it. It will break if you accident drop your APV, even fall on table...

If DIY, remember to fire test first. This ceramic stone may look like grinding stone, but it is not the same. Go read the thread here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/362182-next-big-thing-porous-ceramic-wicks.html. Read and ask there, there's many professional people and experts there if you wanna DIY your own porous ceramic wick. Good luck!

Vape safe, vape healthy, happy vaping my fellow Malaysian Vapers!

Too bad I cant try that, as i do not have the tool to do it. Maybe you can start supplying it in Malaysia ;). If so, I want to book first hehe..

Wow nice! Hehe. Are u taking orders? I need only 2 :)

You can order online from discountvapers dot com. I believe they will have stock soon...

Otherwise try ask your friends who are good at handcraft... Like I've said in my third post here, I'm still looking for more bubble stones that suit for this stone wick... my place here(Sibu) is too difficult to find. I'd ran all the aquarium stores here, only ONE store carry the right stone! And they have only 2 pieces that suitable... And it is pain in the ... to make! (maybe it's just me...)
IMG_1387_zps4f60437b.jpg

First piece I'd ruined, it just kept broken in short length while grinding it! The second piece(also the last piece) I can only made 10 sticks out of it. And those are for my own! :pervy:

I can't find where to order online those bubble stone, and what if it's not the correct stone when it arrived..? Asked the aquarium store where I found the stone to order more for me, they said those was very old product. Nobody want it but most preferred the color one...
IMG_1367_zps80acbfc5.jpg

But those all failed the fire test...

That's very nice if I can be a supplier, but unless I found the stone again. ;)

Oh by the way, I can "HAZE" my toilet full of "SMOKE" in a minute with porous stone wick!:lol::lol:

Bro.. Instead of cutting the stone into a small wick maybe you can consider making a big tank to fit that stone hehehe :D

No way! That big air bubble stone is a 3" long and over half inch wide! You don't want to carry big tank and a big APV around like that Ah Peh in the picture below... although he is not carries gigantic APV... :D:D:D

But please note that I'd said maybe. :D How will I know when my customers call or send in any office equipment for repair... Am a self employed technician who has many bosses(customers)... not really not a free man. LOL! But no worry, once I have time I'll let you know, okay?

Actually I just read on http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/362182-next-big-thing-porous-ceramic-wicks-190.html#post8735246 few minutes ago that a member(mpires) from Portugal found another nice stuff better than aquarium air bubble stone... It is a ceramic from water filter cartridge, this is definitely much safe and clean than air stone I think. Water filter for drinking..., what do you think? But wonder can it pass fire test...

Here few pictures from mpires of Portugal.

And the video he tested. Wow! Just see how fast the ceramic wicking!

Seem like I have to run around some stores again... Or go digging my water tap filter and see whether there's any ceramic in there or not...

So kzariman, do you still want air stone or water filter ceramic? But I can't confirm I can find it here, maybe it's much easy for you to find in KL?
