About a couple years ago I created a Tom Collins juice with a fairly realistic flavor. As I remember, it used a VG base thinned with real London Dry gin, FA gin flavor, TFA Lemon and Lime flavorings. The secret is to add the gin first, then the Lemon and Lime, then let it steep together overnight before adding the VG. The recipe should still be in the DIY Recipes section.

Another one I made is Mojito, made with Bacardi 8 Años rum. Same steeping thing with the alcohol and citrus flavoring. It's in the Recipes too.

Also look for Brandy Alexandra by WomanofHeart, possibly the best DIY cocktail recipe ever.

There are other possibilities, like Bahama Mama, in the Recipes section.

Try Pink Spot. I guess the owners were/are bartenders and they have a lot of "drink" juices. Also, Juicy Vapor, and a couple other vendors let you make your own concoctions; but, I would stay away from cherry, and unfortunately amaretto. I made a pretty decent "sangria" once from Juicy Vapor, but have given up on drink flavors. Good luck!

Deb I'd really be at a loss on that one except for a wild guess or two. For one thing, my DIY abilities are vastly limited by the fact that some years ago I totally lost my sense of smell due to (apparently) permanent nerve damage. For another, I no longer imbibe so I'd have to rely upon your (or someone else's) tasting & direction. I will ask you this though: have you ever tried Drambuie on the rocks with just a splash of your favorite 12-yr old Single Malt? (Quantities may be adjusted to taste, of course.) Not exactly a Rusty Nail... I think of it more as a Golden Peg. But anyway if memory (which, in cruel irony, is closely related to the sense of smell) serves, I'm thinking to shoot for a Drambuie juice you might want to start with a Single Malt Scotch flavoring & work from there. Honey maybe? I dunno. Used to love that stuff but probably haven't tasted any in over 30 years.

Anyway if you find any let me know, & Happy Hunting! :toast:

Sorry to hear about your nerve damage. I've never mixed it, except to add a bit to coffee. I don't really care for most liquors. Rum and Tequila are really the only two I can handle. But there are a lot of liquers that I love. Drambuie being top of the list. Haven't had it in years, since it's so expensive. I was getting some triple sec one day and the girls at the liquor store and I were talking about drambuie and they said there was another thing very similar product that was scotch/honey based. I haven't tried it yet, and don't recall the name, but they said it was a lot less expensive. Thanks for the heads up.
