This is really strange to me...but it's happened a couple times in the last two weeks.

My gf and I will just hang out and watch a movie and have a few beers. Nice relaxing night. I seriously didn't even get a buzz from six beers in the past...now I seem to get affected. Is there something aside from nic in a cig that helped process it differently?

I guess it isn't a problem, I just save more money by being a cheap date  I really am just curious if anyone else experienced similar.

Nicotine restricts blood vessels though. I haven't noticed a change at all except the beer tasting better. maybe less toxins in your system because thats what medically and scientifically thats what we are doing. Think it depends on how much you drink too, I normally go to 4 and stop nice little buzz and no hangover the next morning.

although its generally the same effect, i think that the way vaping affects you with alcohol is different than the way cigarettes affect you with alcohol. the difference is that with vaping, its so clean and pure- you can just vape away. but with cigarettes, youve got all the irritants. i think you might end up vaping more than you would have smoked. i know i do. when nicotine and alcohol mix, you get an increased effect. and when youre vaping, there is virtually no limit to the amount of nic you can ingest. the same is true for cigarettes, its just that you have to wade through all the irritants, and that might be a sort of roadblock.

Good polint, plus, I don't have to get off my ...., pause the TV and go outside...

Looks like a lower nic juice for beer nights is in order.

I think the dehydration related to vaping is definitely the big culprit. Your body is thirsty, so you end up taking more alcohol into your bloodstream. Good theory, makes total sense. That, coupled with increased bloodflow, would definitely make one drink feel much more potent than normal (when smoking). Another great reason to vape, if you ask me. Alcohol isn't exactly cheap, unless you are, of course. ;)

My tolerance has plummeted in the last few weeks, but I assumed it was from drinking less often.

Apart from the blood vessel thing mentioned above, vaping dehydrates you……your body might be processing it faster somehow as a result of that? IDK. I'm going to go do some research and report back in a few hours. Good luck reading it.

I have noticed that I also get an effect from the beer quicker now that I am vaping. I also noticed this change more when I quit nicotine altogether for a brief spell.

I think that Alcohol actually eliminates the nicotine from the users system quicker than normal and this is why people who smoke/vape find that they do so far more when partaking in the consumption of alcohol.

Always good to get a laugh in the morning just as work got frustrating. Thank you.
