Nothing compliments a cigarette like an ice cold beer, whiskey on the rocks , or any alcoholic beverage of your choice. My fourth day of no cigs was today and the process really hadn't been as nerve racking as i thought...
Until my wife and I attended a friends birthday party. Now I knew that if I drank it would really make want to smoke a cigarette so my plan was to try and avoid drinking. And I emphasize the word "try" simply because in the back of my head I knew there was a good chance I would cave in.
So of course one thing lead to another and there I am grabbing a beer from the cooler. Now I figured, if I drink one beer I can probably fight the urge for a cigarette, which I did. It was about the fourth beer which really did the job.
Yes I smoked a cigarette, and I did'nt beat myself over it. I ended up having about 3 today. I still have not bought a pack though and I don't plan to. I gotta admit I'm really craving an analog... but I'm vaping away. I hope tomorrow the cravings aren't so bad. Wish me luck.

A couple here and there isn't bad. Just remember how far you already are from before! The point is to smoothly transition to the point where you don't need cigarettes anymore. It's difficult, but I'm so grateful for this technology being at the point where it is. It's truly an incredible invention that I only wish had been around sooner. Just keep progressing and don't get too distraught if you cave in once in a while. It's better than before!

I was concerned about this as well. I did find though, I'm actually liking the vaping and the drinking together. I found, at least out of the house, that with vaping, I use less than I did with smoking. Last night I was at my in-laws for a BBQ. Instead of lighting up an analog and smoking the whole thing, I would just vape whenever I felt the need/desire. Is it possible to take your vape with you in this scenario?

I'm a heavy drinker and have no issues with only vaping while drinking. Even when I first quit smoking and started vaping it wasn't that much of an issue.

I'm at the point now that I have zero desire for a cigarette in any situation and am pretty much disgusted by them.
That's very encouraging Strigoi! I too am a heavy drinker at times and would often blow through an entire pack during a night's drinking (I was a two-pack a week smoker generally when I wasn't drinking, to give you an idea). I just started, but the nights drinking are what worries me most!

The only time I smoke is when drinking heavy and after the activity dnr was talking about. Some vapers freak out when they hear that. But when I was a smoker, I always wished I could do it exactly like that. I had friends who only smoked when drinking, but I had to show them and smoke 2 PAD! So I might go through a pack in a month with the wife (does the same as me) and it is no big deal. I am happy and healthier, and that is what matters.
