totally unplugged!!!! OMG! I hates that!!!

Yeah, it is a bit frustrating. My ISP is usually solid so I can't complain too much. I live in the boonies (relatively speaking) and when I first moved here my only choice was satellite internet. Anyone who has ever tried to game on a satellite connection knows my pain. And the bandwidth limits are just insane. You pay twice what you do for cable internet or DSL and they lock you down to dial up speeds if you go over your allotted bandwidth. It was miserable. Truly.

Now I have wireless internet and it is heads and shoulders above satellite. But it is rather susceptible to extreme weather and temps and, well, I live in Texas. Is there any other kind of weather here?

I've only lost connection for more than a few minutes twice now, but both times it was days before they had it up and running again. *sigh* I love living in the country, but I hate living in the country.

yes, that would be me...... hughs hateful internet, I call it and the first of the month....... for the first time ever..... I have a chance to get something other than...... satellite internet. It is expensive and I am very scared but it just has to be better than this which is just horrible, as you know. It is with the wireless and I am hopeful and it is actually a bit less expensive than what we have with hughs so like I said... it just has to be better.

fingers crossed.

yeps....... living in the country in texas.......... has its perks....... internet is not one of them. lol

huge hugs

Hi Vapelandians! What a game! Our defense is miles and miles away from last year and SCARY! What a game! Punkin Tumble time, time to relax! Wow!

I ask for extra flavor also in the comments but as Megan said, don't know beyond that. I know it's not available on CRoom...

they can and will adjust almost anything. It seems they live and breathe to make us happy. Just tell them what you need in the little flavor box and watch them make magic happen. :)

really, no REALLY!

hugs

Ack, satellite Internet! That's all that's available at the office and OMG, hate it! Cloud in the sky? No Internet!

Who is your ISP now? If you don't mind, I really hate HughesNet!

I have Skybeam now and I really do love them. I've had them for probably about two years and have only been down twice. (Except for a few minutes here and there when a storm passes through.) But yeah, after satellite, pretty much ANYTHING is an improvement. But I play a lot of online games and it handles everything I throw at it beautifully, so I think it's probably good by any standards. (It's been so long since I've had cable internet, I can't recall how good/fast it was.)
Thankfully wireless internet companies are taking root in rural communities. If there isn't one available to you now, there will be soon, I'm sure. I had one local to me long before I was able to get it myself because you have to have line of sight to the access point, and they had no access points that could be "seen" from my house. I literally cried the day I switched. It was such a relief.

Trust me on this. Switch without fear. You will never look back, I promise. It is so vastly superior to satellite, you won't regret it one bit.
I *think* mine runs about the same as my satellite connection did, but it's been a couple years since I switched, so I can't really recall. But I would have been willing to pay triple, personally. It's night and day.

these folks are verizon (not totally unknowns lol) so, I think I be ok. They have a new thing though for people that have before just been able to have satellite, so... just a bit nervous as I have been promised before and always .... at the door...... they say.....oh sorries you but are not in our area after all, etc etc. then I cry for a week.

edit: called verizonwireless homefusion

I have cried and cried...... over 12 years.... many many times

So far every flavor i try next in my sampler becomes my new favorite lol Twas Brillig was excellent i really like how the flavor of the blackberry is spot on to that in a cobbler, and not a fake tasting berry. But now I am vaping afternoon tea, and as a fan of drinking black tea, this might be my new ADV, i may ask for extra flavor when I order some more of this, I enjoy this pretty much over any juice from any vendor I have tried so far! A few orders I had from Mt Baker in the past, I end up only somewhat liking like 1 out 3 flavors, and with AiV, every flavor has been delicious and I forsee them becoming my go to juice vendor. Keep up the good work! Thanks again!
