I know huh? I'm hoping to have the car by this weekend and so long as my laptop is back from Dell by the 4th as well then I can enjoy a happy birthday indeed. So I'm counting on all that... The medical bills... well, their accounting offices will just have to learn the value of patience, just as I had to throughout all my tests and waiting on results. Birthday happiness is more important IMO.

PS dancing on my birthday with all my friends.... Woohoo!

this is exactly correct my sweety. Birthday happiness supersedes everything else. It happens usually for one day only and must be paramount in importance!!!

It's ALL good Everyone...and Thank you for the Well-wishing, but I have to confess...this is a FUN trip!! Our annual trek to the French Quarter for the HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION!!!!!! Yes.....we WILL be in Costume (as always), and this year....THE KREWE OF BOO IS BACK!!!!!!!!...and they're promising a parade like never before .....13 floats......bands...and for the first time ever...instead of throwing the traditional beads...they're throwing goods from local vendors!!!! There will also be adult trick-or-treating, haunted tours, and the Vampires Ball!! As they would say down there...."We gonna pass a good time!!" Pictures will follow..........

Emu chicks! It's that time of the year when the females start laying, very odd birds indeed! I don't know if I will incubate any eggs this year or not, and if the dad's have their way, they'll be setting on them in the snow. Might just collect the eggs and put them in the freezer for quiche latter on!

Are the eggs large like an ostrich? Do you have problems with predators with them or are they a "mean" bird like the ostrich is and defend themselves? Inquiring minds want to know... and some of us other people too!
