Boundless beauty surrounds you in the Vapelandian Ecology. The trees...pristine, and full leaved, are swaying in a light breeze. Slightly purple, reddish, grass undulates under the same gentle, wafting, wind, in the Meadow area, between the Highrise/Penthouse area and Tea Table center of this distant land. The golden, yellowish, Vapelandian Sun is beaming down, with a few mauve and burgandy clouds across that deep azure sky. The far away sound of tiny paws, running on dry leaves, and the rustle of wind blown boughs, in the moving air, sets a feeling of serenity. The sound of running water, over rocks, babbles in the background soothing, easing, and weaving a dwemoner of unspoken spells: spells of friendship, spells of love (but not forcing), spells of relaxation and the good things of the imagination.
Far away, beyond the dreaded swamps, West of the Highrise/Penthouse area, the desert sits. It's brownish, beige, landscape is flecked with a bit of green, here and there, the odd cactus or enigmatic Joshua tree. They compliment the copses of mesquite, it's hidden thorns protecting, and warning, but housing small furry animals who find refuge in them.
There, in the center of the desert, is a fabulous White Marble castle! High atop it's tallest minaret a flag is blowing in the warm desert air. It is a J & N. fused together, surrounded by a wreath of red roses, a Lady in White on one side, an amazing Ape Creature, dressed in shining stainless steel plate mail, complete with helmet, steel leggings with boots, and a long, deadly sharp spear sit below the insignia, and an odd, blue Byrd on the other side.
There is a long, curving, road that leads up to the castle, and an old beggar man is slowly walking up it. His balding head glints sunlight in reflection from it. His slightly reddish rags are accentuated by his long, brown, wooden staff. He pauses along his journey. Looking back, over his shoulder, his golden rimmed spectacles seem to glow in the distant light. His grizzled, slightly unshaven face, becomes visible. It is James! YardByrd's assistant! Turning around he looks directly toward you. His words are short, sweet, well annuonciated, and clear: "Viva Vapeland!"
He strikes his staff upon the ground and suddenly a whirlwind is forming...it twists upward, engulfing the flag, and tossing it violently the odd blue Byrd is thrown off of it into existence! He wings up, higher, and higher, until his Byrd's eye view encompasses the local environs. At the apex of his flight he looks down and you see through his eyes! You see...a land of mystery and delight! Citizens enjoying libations of many kinds, including the delicious inhalents! Some who are in need of healing, light, warmth, security and well being. Some who journey forth upon their voyage to this strange, mysterious, sometimes forbodding country. This unique and gorgeous, care filled and watching, magick woven patch of existence, far flung from the "normal" world, where children can still play in delight, men and women can still dance joyously, and those who seek here can find her refuge. Our one. Our Only. Our special beloved one. Our Vapeland. You can hear the avian's distant cry....in your mind, and then in your ears: "Viva Vapeland!...CAW!"
