How you doing, I’m Devin. I have a question about my alien 220w, need some answers. I have the brown HG2 batteries in mine, every time I go up to like 50 or above Watts it say low battery and my battery is fully charged. What could that mean, I b trying to see how high on wattage I can go to try it out but it won’t let me go past 50 sometimes 40 without always saying my battery low.

So basically he said the VCT6 is the best battery
Vt6's are good batteries but they have a lower amp limit. LG HG2's are great batteries but something is not right with yours or your mod, as said above, my guess would be they are counterfeit or old. Get some new LG HG2, samsung 25r, or sony vtc5a.

@Devin36 How old are the batteries and where did you buy them from? Also what is your coil resistance?
Well I am new to this vaping life, not sure what my coil resistance is. I have the basic setup up that comes with the baby beast, and the batteries are a couple months old. I got them from the vape shop when I bought my Alien 220w from, how often do I suppose to change my batteries anyway

Resistance is how much the coil 'resists' the flow of electricity, measured in ohms (Ω). If you look on the mod screen it will tell you. It's only really relevant if you are using an unregulated device, you are using a regulated device so you don't need to worry about it.

Either the batteries you have are fake, or worse they could be really old recycled ones given a fresh wrap and passed on to you for whatever you paid for them. Either way I wouldn't recommend you use the them, or buy any more from that shop.
It's also less likely that the mod is faulty, I guess you will find out when you put some good batteries in it.

The LG HG2 is a great 20 amp battery meaning with two of them you are good for 120 watts on your mod. If you really want to go higher with the baby beast as will probably burn out the coil. If you use the Sony VTC5a which is a 25 amp battery you are good to 150 watts.

How long will they last? Charged gently on a quality charger and not abused by running at wattages higher than they are rated for, they should last a couple of years or 300 or so charges.

Of the 3 i listed the hg2's have the highest mah rating and will last longer between charges if you are vaping 120 watts or less.. Vtc5a's have the best amp rating closely followed by the 25rs if you plan to go over 120 watts go for higher amps. There are 30 amp batts but you have to charge them more and unless you really want to push your mod to high watts go with one of the others.

Definitely the batteries, use something original, look for anything called high drain batteries, 3000,40 Am
Sony, Samsung, AWT are good brands
Don't risk it if there is warning on battery, the MOD can go high with good batteries but actually you don't need to go high, 50 -80 watts is high enough, even less depending on your coil resistance and juice and mostly what suit your taste

Your coils "ohms" are your resistance, so you are using a coil that is fairly low resistance. That's not always the end of the story though, the way your coil is build and how much metal mass is inside it will also make a difference. A small, vertical Nautilus BVC coil designed for a different sort of vaping will have far less mass, than say an octocouple coil.

You may be vaping it too high or not high enough... It all depends. Your "recommended wattage" will also be printed in tiny letters on the coil, and it's fine to vape below the recommended resistance, but not above it, that tends to shorten coil life. It might give you a rough guide as to what resistance you may "need" but still important to prime the coil, and just slowly increase wattage, a few watts at a time, while inhaling and then inhaling with the fire button (doesn't matter if you see visible vapor or not, just keep moving up slowly.

You will likely reach a "sweet spot" which may be below 100 watts, which is certainly high wattage but not unheard of.

It sounds to me like you need new batteries, but that has been covered. Knowing what resistance you are "targeting" should help you decide which you need to sacrifice, run time, or higher wattage for longer while not overstressing your batteries or your mod. Depending on where you 'fall" or at least "think" you are going to fall should tell you want batteries you will need. Etc.

Best of luck and yes you need a good charger too, some good brands include Xtar and Nitcore and many of them, especially the smaller or older models, shouldn't break the bank.

Good luck and happy vaping :)

Are you using a single, dual, or triple battery mod? In the interests of keeping things simple:

-If you use a good quality 15 amp CDR battery like the Samsung 30Q or Sony VTC6, then you are good up to 45 watts per battery; 90 watts using two; 135 watts for three batteries.

-If you use a good quality 20 amp CDR battery like the LG HG2 or Samsung 25R then you are good for 60 watts per battery. If using a 2-battery regulated mod, your good for 120 watts as you are drawing from two batteries. If you are using a 3-battery mod, you're good for 180.

-If you use a single 25 amp CDR battery like the Sony VTC5A, then you are good for 75 watts per battery, 150 watts for two batteries, and 225 watts with three.

-If you use a single 30 amp CDR battery like the LG HB6 you are good up to 90 watts; with a pair of 30 amp CDR batteries you could safely do 180 watts.
