All flavors vaped on my trusty stock Riva510.
Irish Cream 0mg/ 6ml
I suppose what I was hoping for was a reasonable facsimile of Irish cream, which depending on the recipe includes whiskey, cream, coffee, vanilla, almond and other flavorings as needed. Instead, this was so artificially sweet that it reminded me of diet soda.
For those of you who like diet soda, you have no idea what Im complaining about and theres nothing to see here.
For those of you who share my opinion that diet soda is the sole invention of the devil, who in his diabolical scheme, had the express intent of inflicting malicious chemically induced synthetically sweet harm to poor innocent taste buds everywhere well, you get where Im coming from here.
[rant]Look, rationally I understand all of our taste buds are different. I get that genetics and lifestyle are at play when discussing e-liquids and ones perception of flavor and performance. The same juice thats bad for me is the next guys big O. (Flavor wise, I mean. Geez.
)
But still, just for once, Id really love for a vendor to surprise me. Id love to open that bottle of chocolate, cream, strawberry, or whatever and have it actually taste like the dang thing its trying to imitate instead of tasting like a synthetically contrived cloying blech. BTW, if you think for a second Im singling out AVE here, you are mistaken. So far, every vendor Ive spent hard earned money with has disappointed my taste buds with one or more of their offerings. Ive spent hundreds chasing the dragon, so to speak. It just gets old to taste the same sacchariferous stuff. [/rant]
Purchase again? No.
English Toffee 0mg/ 6ml
This tastes exactly like BWBs Malty Toffee to me. I dont know if the two companies share a common supplier, but I get the same sharp and unpleasant plastic like inhale from both juices. Its a unique sensation, and I cant say Im a fan.
Purchase again? No.
Gorilla Juice 6mg/ 6ml
Im going to state for the record, Bobas Bounty really grew on me. Its not a flavor I want every day, or even all day, but when Im craving it, nothing else will do. Since Gorilla juice is Bobas plus banana, I figured this would be A-OK.
This juice tastes exactly like Circus Peanuts to me. You guys know the candy Im talking about, right? Its a putrescent combination of Laffy Taffy-esque fake banana with marshmallow Peep centers blended with Yellow 5, 6 and Red 40. I believe it has been voted as the Worlds Worst Candy (well, right behind Peeps, because those little chicks are Nasty.)
Based on that description, I should dislike this juice.
I dont. Let me tell you why.
When I was a kid, I went to Great Grandmas house while my parents worked. Great Grandma was ancient when I was young. She ended up living to 105, but she was always young at heart. After lunch, which was always on the table at promptly 11:30, shed get a bit of a shine in her eye and ask if Id like a special treat for dessert.
Well, what little kid could resist an offer like that? Out of the old cupboard shed produce 4 Circus Peanuts. They were always stale. (A blessing, really. The candy is marginally better that way.) Shed split the candy up between us, 2 for me, 2 for her. She made me feel as though we were the only ones in the world to be so lucky as to share a bit of candy after lunch. Circus Peanuts were one of the few candies that were left from her youth in the late 1800s. They reminded her of friends and loved ones whod passed on many years before I was even born. As a kid, I didnt know why this specific candy was special to her, but I knew it was which in turn, made it special to me.
The flavor of Gorilla Juice takes me back to that old linoleum table with the chrome legs and the naugahyde covered chairs when a really old lady and a pretty young kid could bond over something as simple as Brachs penny candy.
Some of our preferences come from nature. We're just born to prefer this flavor or that. But some flavors are 100% nurture. Circus Peanuts, and thus Gorilla Juice, is a flavor I can dig because of what it reminds me of.
Purchase again? Yes.
Please share your thoughts on these juices. Im always curious how people view the same e-liquid.
