All I taste is burnt marshmallow

I dont know what happened to my ecig, but all I taste is burnt. Im really new at this so im not sure what the problem is. Im using a lavatube, with low resistance carts I think. I opened a new cart, put juice in it and it tastes burnt. Im also getting vapor/smoke from the bottom of the cart where it screws on. What might be the problem?

Might be the primer burning off of it? I know that's a problem with some atomizers, not sure about cartos though. Not 100% sure about the smoke coming out of the bottom, though.

How high was your voltage and how many ohms? Depending on the resistance you may have burnt the atty.

Maybe you are putting too much liquid in, with a carto make sure you can see light through the hole in the center after filling. Another possible reason for the burnt taste is that you have the voltage set way too high, try taking it down to 4.5 and go up or down a bit from there according to what tastes best to you. I believe its 3ohms and im at 3.5 volts....any higher its unbearable. ALso a note. When things were working good I heard a sizzle when pressing the button, now I just hear a soft hum. Dont know if that helps. Im using carts not attys.

Im thinking its the carts. Maybe a bad batch? I have attys just no cartridges and I get the sizzle im looking for.

The burnt taste: I haven't had this problem with any cartos yet.

I had some other ideas typed out but you've since posted clarifications. Unfortunately I'm not well versed enough and haven't used that pv to offer any other ideas.

3 ohm is, as far as I understand, high resistance. When you get ~<2 you're hitting low ohm.

Smoke from bottom: The only time I've gotten something like that is when I blow slightly after taking a pull. The base (of my clearo) is the air intake, so it doesn't worry me much.

do you have a multimeter to verify the coil resistance? 3 Ohm is not considered LR.

I think it was the cart. The cart that was giving me problems was something I ordered, this new carto came with my cig, its working. No burnt taste, just not enough vapor, but I think its cause my battery is almost dead.

No multimeter When I look at my ecig it reads 1.8U on the screen, not sure what that means.
EDIT looked at an older post, I bought 3ohm carts
