All kinds of Russian 91 problems

Loved my kayfun clone so much, I decided to get a Russian 91
ive spent most of the day trying to get it right.

started with not being able to get it to fire and discovered that the center pin, if tightened all the way, wouldn't stick out enough
Resolved that by adding another o ring to the bottom for now.

Now I am having burned taste and wicking issues after trying several different cotton set ups like my kayfun clone.

i am getting close to returning this and the channels are not blocked

The center pin is adjustable. It may seem tight, but there is an adjustment screw which turns in / out with no O-ring needed.

Have you removed the e-liquid and actually checked the wick?
Is your air draw smooth?
Is your coil touching the deck and shorting?

There is a reason. The devices are basically the same.

Did You completely(100%) Disassemble inspect and clean before building?
