Mechanical mods are far from ever vanishing in our world. I completely agree agree with the posters who see the benefits. I own both but find myself using the mechs far more.
As far as price, I feel you get what you pay for and as far as availability, the industry is growing and there are many nice pieces that are artfully crafted and highly functional by a small workforce and are not mass produced like Provari, vamo, ego and others are. It's no different than custom guns, cars, watches or any other collectable that are crafted for a specialty market.

That's fine. Mechanical mods can be very attractive with high bling appeal.

As an ex-smoker the primary need is to fulfill function: the smallest APV with the biggest capacity battery that will fit comfortably in my jeans pocket. With about 1000 mAh batteries or less I find good voltage regulation is a must-have, at least. I'm not about to lug around a big mechanical mod.

Mechanical mods by definition don't have voltage regulation. They work best with higher capacity batteries like 18650 or batteries in series for high voltage. That's fine if you aren't quitting smoking for vaping and don't need an APV you can carry everywhere. The mechanical mods are the battleships of the mod world. They are so big they stay at home and look good while working good on the coffee table. That's fine for a lot of users.

Depends on what electrical mods you get. I love my Vamo, and after using my EA for a while it just wasn't for me so traded it for a Provari and ZAP. and can do a ~1.5Ω coil and vape at 4.5v and get the same result as a mech. And holding the Vamo and Provari side by side you can feel what your money buys. I have no fears of dropping the ProV other than breaking the quartz tank on the ZAP.

Wut.

You need to research a bit more - we'll wait. Your post is just entirely bad information. There are so many mechanicals that are smaller than a Provari Mini and bulletproof.

i seem to be having the same problem. I have a pretty big budget on buying one of these for my daily, but the only one i've found available that I really admire is the Zenesis-TI which is a tad over my budget.... And i just missed out on the release for the GP PAPs... Guess I'll have to wait on the next release for one.

If you like the hybrid design, such as the Zen, don't forget about the iHybrids. They go on sale at least once a month and there are some pretty slick limited editions for those with the speed and funds to procure one.

I carry my Poldiac in 18650 mode/DID everywhere I go. Granted it can be a little inconvenient at times but it vapes like no other. With sub 1 ohm coils, anything less than an 18650 just doesnt last long enough for me. My dream device would be a 26650 hybrid with a 8 mil tank.
