This weekend I noticed that my 510 attys(using manual batts) were stinking like chemcals. I took a drag and it hurts (burns) my lungs when I inhaled and exhaled....I put on a new 510 atty and it was better for the evening. I rinsed a couple and let them dry overnight, no luck the same things happening. In the morning that one that was working started doing the same thing. Any ideas of what's going on??? I tried putting a drop of liquid on the atty, but that only helped for a short time. I put new filler in, new juice???? I should be getting a couple of new attys today but waht are the odds of having 4 go bad at one time...2 of which were brand new. When the cart is off I push the button and the atty starts to glow and then the cup around it fills with a chemical smelling smoke??? Please help a newbie????

Just sounds dry rather than bad. Are you filling the cartridges sufficiently?

Your cart filler should look 'mooshy' and be close to the very top of your cart end so it touched the bridge when it is affixed. The bridge makes a little dimple in the filler - showing contact between both is occuring. Bridge must be kept moist always - do not let it dry or it does what you describe.
I dont use filler btw - I found it tends to move about too much and I end up with a dry atty so I drip. My attys have been going 4 months with only one casulty since I started vaping, and I attribute taht to dripping (and maybe a bit of luck lol) :)

Info on dripping if you need it: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/66848-guide-direct-dripping.html

Also a note are you using same juice on your 901 as 510?
as I have 2 juices that always smelled like chemicals after my first day vaping them.
about 2 months later 1 smells fine But still tastes the chemical on it.
while the other still has a chemical or odd smell.
Those 2 juices stopped me from vaping for a while.

if you do not have enough on your atty & filler it won't be so good. Too much well u know leak & flood.

i had this when i started.... stop carting, start dripping, and look up Phee's vids on removing the wick and bridge...itll make your vapes SO much tastier! i thought both of my attys were screwed until i removed the wick and bridge....problem solved in like 2 days, no more burnt taste, fantastic vapor production! the only problem with dripping is when somebody who has no idea what a PV is sees you, you will get some odd looks and that person will be thinking "damn druggies"
