what brands/models are your chargers? what are the brands of the batteries?

by not working do you mean they aren't charging when put on either of the chargers?

Do you have a multimeter? If so use it to check the voltage of the batteries that don't seem to be working. let us know what they read.

This is the kind of charger: BR-103W Multi-Volt Charger - I think the batteries are by Efest?? - I don't know what brand any of them are - when I put the batteries in either charger - the light always stays green, except the one battery turned red and stayed that way....one charged and then turned green - it is the only one that works...**sob**

I would consider that a back-up charger, portable on the go kind of thing. For an at home reliable set-up you need one or two good ones like Ebates recommended. As you're finding out now, it's a core part of your vaping and will need some money invested in.

The places to save costs are in eliquids ( DIY is easy) and toppers, IMHO.

I got a hold of where I bought them - so hopefully I can get something that works :( I can check the voltage in them with my new mod (I know it works because the one battery reads and then says when it is low voltage) All the others do nothing in either mod regardless of which charger I used....lesson learned - sadly, I have to wait a while to buy anything....so sad...I hate when this battery dies.....

will revive batteries that have gone past their over discharge point. comes with a 2 year warranty, easy readout that gives you the current voltage of your battery when you put them in the charger. never gets warm let alone hot, has overheat protection, over charge protection.

Protip, spend money on your charger, it's one of the only constant use items you will have in your vaping experience, you should make sure it's the best you can get, not at all the place to go cheap.

I checked on the VP chargers - oh as much as I want one....can't get it right now....but definitely saving it for when I can - will it recharge batteries that have bit the dirt already?

that depends on what you mean by bit the dirt.

If you over discharge the battery (meaning use it to 3.2 volts or below,) it should be able to charge it no problem..

If you've used a battery to power an atty with a hard short and actually messed up the chemistry of the battery bringing it near the point of venting no charger will help..

From what I'm hearing (would really help if you could use a multi meter to tell us what voltage those batteries that aren't working are reading) it sounds like you've over discharged 2 of them at least and it would be perfect for that situation.

if he has a multimeter, chances are he knows how to read DC voltage. all you need to know is if it's 3.2V or lower to know if that's why your chargers won't charge it. if it's below 2.5V, consider it ruined for the most part.

I talked to MadVapes and they sent me new batteries, and I got the intellicharger :) Working great - today, my mod read "short" a couple times? Arghhh...please tell me I didn't mess something else up....I have found that I love the pink mod with bottom coil tanks - it is exactly what I want!!

I think the mod is fine. What does the resistance of your atty check out to be? If it's too low your mod will think it's a short. What mod are you using?

I am using this SID 18500 Kit, Hot Pink I use it with my bottom coil tanks now, I like them better than the top coils - they fit right on my mod - so I thought they would be okay - it happened like twice more today...it just read "short" then it works again?? Do you think it is okay to use these bottom coil tanks with it?

Sigh... If you bought an Intellicharger i2 or i4 you basically bought what you already had - except with a couple few more LED's on it. Both those models are "multi-chargers" just like you already had, and cannot recover batteries that have gone under voltage. If you buy an Xtar - once - you save a lot of money in the long run.

We still have no idea what PV you are sticking these 18500 batteries in and need to know.

It depends on what is causing it to give a short reading. If the center pin on the Smok thing has been pushed in the problem with the the SID, not the tanks. Does it give a short reading if you hit the fire button with no device attached?

The other thing to check is if the coils are firmly seated in those tanks. They can come loose simply from taking the tank apart to refill. If the coil is loose, or isn't screwed in far enough, either condition can cause a short.
