I keep all my juice and empty cartos, clearos, etc. in this Amazon.com: MTM Forest Green 50 Caliber Ammo Storage Can: Sports & Outdoors with a lock on it to keep the little ones out. All the bottles were sealed up, but there was a silica gel packet inside the box to keep the sweet smell at bay. Now all of my juice seems to have lost its flavor.

Was it the packet or am I not supposed to keep them sealed up like that?

I don't think so. Perhaps what is going on is that you have "vapers tongue" phenom. It happened to me a couple of times. I could taste food, but I couldn't taste my vape for the life of me. I went through several cartos thinking they were bad before I suspected what was going on. The flavor is there, you just can't taste it right now. Your taste will return. Causes can be too much chain vaping, dehydration and probably some other things. Drink a lot more water because PG & VG dehydrates you.

It has nothing to do with the silica packet. Your taste buds are shedding and healing. It's a very common problem and will go away in about a week and the flavor will return. Drink plenty of water as this will help. This will happen a few times to you in the first few months...don't be alarmed by it. It's annoying but it'll straighten itself out eventually.

I thought it was just me or my juice a couple of times until I learned here of vapors tongue. I vaped for months before I first experienced it. What I do is drastically change what i'm vaping. If i'm vaping a fruit, i change to a tobacco or a clove or something. I've heard lots of people vape unflavored, but I haven't tried it.

I had this happen to me, but it was my own damn fault......Got cheap and "Cleaned" a bunch of cartos....but they were not completely dry prior to me trying to vape on them.....boiled my mouth (Took about a week before I could enjoy the flaves again! LOL).

Lesson learned..... don't be a cheap .......Buy more and let the rest dry!

Use the Taryn Spin from You Tube, then set them in the sun open-end up. They'll be bone-dry the next day if you live anywhere west of the Mississippi.

I'm doing that (and I don't really like fruit all that much) but I noticed why CERTAIN flavor switching might work better than others....my tobacco flavors activate the back of my tongue, the sweet fruit flavors, the front. So I'm giving each end a rest while I use the other!

Or just change how you are cleaning them so that you can use the right away. It's not about being cheap. It's about doing things the best way you can. I have boges that are 6 months old and running strong to this day after dozens of cleanings. How to clean cartos so that you can use them right away is answered in the Vaper's Handbook here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/shoganinja/2998-vapers-handbook.html
