Ok, as I said earlier, I'm in way over my head but if I could only make the 'genisis atty' I'd be happy to say at the least.

I'm not a machinist and have simple tools so... what do I need in my toolkit to make one? I did see the picture of 'raidy's toolkit posted earlier but want to know what I need just for the 'genisis'.

To all readers of this thread

Dear modders,
I am very pleased that you liked my mods and are taking part so vividly of my thread. This is part 1. Actually I wanted to just once give an overview of my work. In Part 2 I wanted to go into the details. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to your active participation. However, I am from Nov. 10th for about 3-4 weeks on vacation. After the vacation time we go into the "Canned."

One question I have: Who reads all this thread and has not yet spoken up? Just give me a short hello please!:)

Oh god, my english (but i try to learn it better from post to post)!

one more picture?

I just stumbled upon this thread an hour ago and have finished reading it. Amazing! Your work is nothing short of awesome. My personal favorite is your Cruiser-pipe.

I'll be anxiously awaiting part 2. I'm not mechanically inclined enough to attempt building a Genisis without more detailed instructions, but man they look sweet! I'm also a little intimidated by how many wires I see sticking out of your pipe there, lol!

This pipe is my Masterwork. Here name is DreamPipe. Dozen of german vapours who testet it, want it, but its UNSALEABLE.
The pipe has a finger-Force-Sensor for continuously variable power, a last "power used" memory, a finger-touch switch, an microprossesor controlled temperature stabilization, a fast plugable liquid tank, my own invented genisis atty, a real natural stone storage with integrated recharge station..... and this need one more wire. I LOVE IT.

I'd say that if you don't have a small lathe, then your going to need a lot of files. :?:
The alum. caps (top and bottom) will be the tricky part. You'll be shooting for a leak proof seal between the top/bottom plug and the acrylic tank tube.
You will also need drilling and taps for cutting threads to what ever size screws that you use. But that is going to be the easy part. I have down to 3mm taps but if I need smaller they are cheap. And if I could only find a 7mm x .5 die I'd be happy(-er),,,,,, (yea you know where I'm going with that).

Edit:
I'm sure that there are ways to make a cap that seals that may not require machine shop skills. If your clever.

@ Raidy,
If I understand your use of PWM control voltage, It wouldn't matter so much if the S.S. mesh shorted the coil a small amount anyway, would it? With the oxidation the little current passing through the mesh would have about the same resistance as the coil and would help with the throat hit. Yes?

Just finished reading all 22 pages. I am so impressed!! Finally someone has come up with a better atty design, and creative as well. True works of art. Although after seeing the excitement of Gummy Bear and a few others, including myself, Im sure someone will have a working Genesis well before you get back from your trip to write a part 2.

Raidy - to continue from my last post. I realise the air tube doesn't have to go up the centre (and possibly spoil the capillary action of the mesh wick), it can go up the side. Also - the air tube is only necessary for vapers who like 'auto' batteries (like me :) ). Manual batteries can simply have a small hole in the mouthpiece (as your models have) with no air tube at all.

Do you think my modded E2 genesis would work? As shown on my new drawing...

I really like this Idea.
-It would be much easier to just get an manual battery and plug the hole, than trying to attach a pipe.
-How do you keep the mesh together towards the bottom? Tie wire around it?
-Im not too sure how the E2 works but dont the "existing wires in an E2" heat up? If so, they may need to be replaced.
-How do you get the top cap in place? Weld? Glue?

I would love to see this concept explored further
