Yes RCA Connectors is right. I love them. Never order again from someone all the different connectors or adapters. And they have a great connection. Much better as usual connectors
Here some more pics

My idea and hope is to be able to make a coil with nichrome mesh, has anyone tried it, or does anyone want to try that? I'm thinking that the SS mesh might deliver juice to the nichrome mesh.

McMasterCarr Nichrome mesh

@Jensb-- That's a wonderful idea also, of using the RCA jacks.

Using the mold and cast idea, it should even be possible to make easily replaceable coils that simply plug in to the ecig.

In other words one casted part would be the socket, and then a separate casted part would be the one that has the coil and plugs and you can easily plug a new coil module that way?

I dont know if anyone has tried nicrome mesh. We have only seen working genisis atty's made by people other than raidy in the least few pages of this thread. The reast of the thread was us wrapping our head around it. I am still liking this idea though.

hello all! firstly thanks to raidy for his designs, and to everyone else who has added theirs. i'm in the UK and i've been looking into the plaster moulds idea, but can't find any equivalent plasters that would be suitable...

not sure what i am looking for properties-wise!! anything any good here? :

Here is my latest effort... the NanoGen!

ng6e.jpg

It's powered by an external battery (ideally to be housed in a small cigarette lighter). It's smaller than the smallest ecig - but holds plenty of juice (compared for size here to an M401).
The coil end remains exposed and the vapour is drawn down through the device to the mouthpiece.
(I like it when the tip glows hot and smokes like a real ciggy:). I'll use a pen cap to protect the coil when in transport - although at the moment, it's actually retractable down into the metal tubing by twisting the other end!).

I have used ceramic fuses to hold the wick - which I highly recommend (as they can be surrounded with a less critical material to fit within any tube, and are very cheap).

ng7x.jpg

A flexible plastic tube (from a soap dispensing bottle) fits perfectly on the end of the ceramic fuse and this houses the rest of the wick. I have used a smaller section of the tube as a washer to hold the wires in place at the top. The wick is about 1.5mm thick.

The whole thing then slides neatly into a section of antenna - with enough surrounding space for air intake.

The plastic tube is sealed with a rubber stopper (removable for refilling). Over this slides a (temporary) mouthpiece.

It all works and makes a decent amount of vapour. I am now waiting for my nichrome wire to be delivered so I can make a new, tighter and longer coil (this one uses the coil from an E2) and get a bigger blast.

poland, and the brassy lands of google
Slopes, you'll have to admit, it is just too small now, isn't it? :)

I don't get the 'temporary' mouthpiece part. The ceramic fuse is great, but what fireproof filter is that?

edit: oh my, you mean the ash end vapes and you inhale on the other end?

Jajajaja... Yeeaahhh... Is inverted...!!!!! and the air crosses between the walls of the 2 tubes. Now I understand... Because of that Slopes said that he liked to see the live coal jaja.

Good Work Slopes !!!!

Yes, the vapour is drawn down through the body of the device and out of the mouthpiece. In that sense, it's quite close to how a real cigarette works.

EDIT: I've edited my post so hopefully it's a bit clearer now.
