I'm fairly new to vaping. I would like to switch completely from analogs but my every tank I've had a lot of trouble finding a reliable tank. I use a Smoktech Zmax Mini and am getting by with a Protank. I clean it about once every two weeks and replace the coils every ten days. It gets me by but there is NO flavor. So far I have used Viva Nova tanks, an Eleaf bottom coil, a no name cartomizer and a couple of the small 5'10 threaded tanks for an ego. All of them have either been leaky, had dry hits, gurgly, or have produced a very small amount of vapor or flavor. I need help finding a reliable tank that has consistent flavor, vapor, and throat hit. I don't mind dishing out the cash if it will be something that works well. Thanks so much in advance for all your help guys!

Most of my tanks are Anyvape Davide BCCs. I highly recommend them! I change my attys every 5 days or so. Once you find the correct voltage/wattage, your attys should last longer! At least mine seem to! And make sure your juice is a hgood mix and not too gunky/thick! I use 50/50 juices and once I have my APVs set correctly, EVERY hit tastes great ;)

Many people just can't find a clearomizer they can live with. Often, those people find their vaping nirvana in a cartomizer tank (others go on to rebuildables, but that's likely a topic for another day down the road).

You mentioned using a carto, but have you checked out the carto tank options such as those offered by IBTanked?

IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us!

Essentially, they provide the ease and storage of a clearo, with what is considered by many as a better tasting, more consistent vape.

One of the forum's reigning gurus, Baditude, swears by them and he's been doing this for longer than most of us. Here's a link to one of his blog entries on the subject:

More than likely you'll get similar results with any of the clearomizer tanks. Many if not most of the clearos mute flavors and can be inconsistant.

Look into a cartotank. Instead of just a couple of silica string wicks to feed the coils, a cartomizer uses a big wad of wick material that completely surrounds the heating coil. This ensures proper wicking to the coil, gives better flavor, and allows for more consistancy.

Cartotanks require cartos with pre-punched holes. Each time you vape, liquid from the tank enters the cartomizer through the pre-punched holes. Remember to completely pre-fill the carto prior to putting it into the tank. You'll still need to replace the cartomizer every 2 - 3 weeks, just as you would have had to replace the coil heads in a clearomizer.

It sounds like you need a Triton. I have a lot of friends who use the other popular brands and all of them leak. I'm new to vaping as well but my hubby did a LOT of research before dishing out the dough for two starter kits, and he finally settled on the Triton by halo. We seriously could not be happier :D! I've had mine since Christmas and it has not let me down once on any level! It produces awesome vape, great taste, and the thing is 100% leak proof!...it really is! I like it so much that I actually just dished out even more and ordered another starter kit and the V V battery! I can't wait till I get everything in! And I already got my second kit today and just ordered it sat! Even with MLK Jr day being yesterday!

Soooo, if you still haven't found anything that you've completely fallen in love with - try the Triton, you will not be sorry...plus. they cost about as much as the other guys too. I absolutely love their Tribeca e juice too - it's my EDV!

Go check out the reviews on them and see what you think.

Papa_Lazarou and Baditude must have posted withing seconds of each other. Do yourself a favor and at the very least read what they linked too. If you decide to try carto tanks, I would start with one and a few cartos, this will let you try them at minimal cost.

Here is hoping you find a good system.

What about changing juice? Some juice have very subtle flavor that only come alive when you drip. (from my experience) Well, let me re-state that. Flavor comes alive when used on a good topper like RDA and Carto ( :D )
Anyway, if you have local B&M, try asking for strong flavor. Also, I heard some online juice vendors offer added flavor shots.
Obviously, please do check your voltage and resistance level before anything.

Lastly, you might be going through the vapor's tongue. If it is, your tastebud will be muted for few weeks. Don't give up and keep trying.

Hey, i have had the worst luck with clearomizera, so i went to cartotanks.

I have bought tons of clearomizers and i finally found a winner.
All i did was rinse it real good in hot water only, filled my tank and am in vape heaven.
The cartos still are my favorite but i wanted something that i could change juices with easily through out the day.

Ok it is the smoktech pbc v2. I am liking the v1 as well but is huge at 5ml, the v2 is 2.5 ml
It is also glass with a polypro plastic around the glass to protect it, it looks soooo much nicer in person than in pics.
My favorite small clearo at about 1.5 ml and is polypro with no issues yet is the kwx5 from fasttech. Available cheaper at chinabuye and under the name mini mt3.

How well do they work? I already ordered one in every color of all three. Got the pbc's from desertvapes and madvapes has them too

Clearos i have tried and hated
Kanger everything... Evod, t2' t4, t3, protank 2, esmart, mt3s, mt3,
Also stardust, vivi novas, iclear 16 and 30, and 10s
Aspire bdc in nova, ce4 styles.
Hypertank, aro, the new fbc with pen cap,

Thats 16 so far, i think there is a few others but cant remember.

Final conclusion, my tanks of heaven
Glass
Smoktech pbc v1 and v2 ( www.deservapes.com)
Smoktech dct 5ml and 2.5 ml with smok flanged 2 hole cartos

Polypro
Kwx5 from fasttech
Plastic (polypro) dct 3.5 ml tanks fast tech

Did anybody say carto tanks yet?

Carto tank.

I absolutely hate clearos, in my experience they were wrought with quality issues and bad vape experiences. Lots of people love them though.

You could also just have bad juice, or be running into 'vapers tongue'. (Where your taste buds take a while to reset from smokes). Good luck finding your ideal vape

While I absolutely second the cartotank suggestion (I love mine) I can't recommend the Halo Triton system highly enough. I've used all sorts of other setups with clearos, and these are the only ones I've ever tried that are rock solid - no leaks, no complications - just load and go. Yes, clearos do have a more muted flavor than cartotanks, but the Halo ones seem to be better than many. If you're new to vaping it's a good place to start - but if you want to move to something like a cartotank, make sure you get a good one from somewhere like IB Tanked. They're more expensive than the Halo clearos, though, but they're also very well made and very reliable.
