All of my mixes have a harsh nasty taste! Please help

I would down mix the 54mg Nicotine base with PG:VG to what ever you are going to vape at, 18mg?, and then try it. If it tastes really harsh then it is your 54mg Nicotine base.

I get my Nicotine Base from xtremevaping.com also and it is not harsh at all. A tad peppery but not harsh.

You could also be using too much flavoring without and sweetener. I like Sucralose as sweetener myself. I also do not start a DIY recipe with more than 10% flavoring. Easier to add flavor a drop or two at a time then it is to dilute an over flavored e-liquid.

Let me back up for one second. I buy my Nicotine Base from

The reason. I believe that they have the Technical Expertise to do Analytical Testing for foreign substances and impurities. I also believe that they feel a responsibility to ensure Quality to their customers.

I'm not saying they are the only ones selling Quality Nicotine Base (NB) but I question some sellers abilities to check what is in a NB. They have to rely on the Manufacture to ensure a level of Quality. Whatever the Manufacture sends them is what they sell. It's just a product like a Battery or an Atomizer.

All that said, when I down mix their High mg NB to about 20mg without Flavorings or Sweeteners and vape it, there is a slightly bitter Peppery taste. It isn't harsh. And it isn't a chemical taste. Rather pleasant in fact.

When this 20mg is Flavored and Sweetened, there is still a Hint of this Peppery taste. Just a hint that my mind tells me is the Nicotine.

But if do a mix with the Flavor levels I'm looking for without Sweeteners, then there is Flavor but also Harshness. Especially when the DIY mix is tried immediately after mixing.

So I guess to make a Very Long answer out of a Very Simple question. When down mixed to a vapeable level then Flavored and Sweetened, extremevaping's NB has just a Hint of a Peppery taste.

Some flavors have themselves the peppery taste, like TW Black Label, my base is a little sweet, no peppery taste but after adding some TW flavor to it it gets that taste, even at 5% flavoring.

I've gotten harsh juice too and I couldn't use that juice. I had 3 bottles in my stash from 3 different vendors. When I smelled them all, the harsh juice was so bad that my nose hurt and my eyes watered. It kinda smelled like turpentine or varnish for wood? The other 2 companies juices did not do that to my nose and eyes.

The good juices were bought from MyFreedomSmokes and XtremeVaping. Those were clear too in color. The horrible juice was vivid neon orange colored- blech!
