Hey guys,
I have just plugged in my ego twist, next to the other ego on my charger and am using my evod and hoping it will last thru the rotation. I am really disappointed in the egos-they are not holding my thru the day, as I am a heavy vaper, and end up taking the two "long-lasting" egos and two mini egos and the assorted carts, vivi's, evods, bottles of juice etc... around with me all day to vape!

I gotta do something different. I gotta take the next step up. I have been lurking and learning for a bit and reading about everything from the lavatube to the new innokin to bottomfeeder boxes to the vamo to the provari. These are all different types of mods-PVs-mechs- etc... that do it differently. I think I get that much. I also get that everything is subjective and a matter of preference and taste. I have studied and read up posts on the other forums and decided to bring the questions here, so here goes:

I am a heavy vaper, love the taste and the vaper production. Was a smoker but decreasing my nic now because it is less important as I become a vaper aficionado! Because of this, I have a mod-PV around me all the time. I need something that is going to stay charged and deliver. I constantly change flavors (can change within minutes): I have different carts, evods, vivis with totally different flavors in front of me now. The mod has to be able to handle multiple types of "delivery systems". I have tried dripping with some friends and really liked it, so may try it in the future. I'm think that I may need a different mod for that, tho. I like to look cool doing my thang, so you know. . . it would be great if it were styling.

I like that idea that it would measure ohms and be variable voltage. This more reasonably priced, the better. By that I mean, right now I can not afford 300-400 dollar mod.

I have been looking, of course, at the provari, some of the mod boxes and the innokin. I might be able to move somethings around and go right for the provari but, I really like experiencing other mods-PVs and juices. For me, it is all about the combination of the mod-PV and the juice together, and playing around with it, that goes me the most enjoyment. I think that I have hit the wall with the equipment that I have and am ready to go play on the big boys swing set!

Any suggestions, ideas, directions of things I have not thought about would be appreciated.

Hi malachi,

A good starting point in my opinion, would be to get yourself a vamo.

These are vv and vw,and will also read ohm`s and tell you battery percentage, everything you need to get into the wonderfull world of mods.

You can also use it in mini mode 1 x 18350, and even as a heavy vaper,i would bet you get at least 6 hours out of one battery,so all you would need is a couple of spares, and your laughing.

I would also suggest geting some adaptors,so you can use all the different tanks you have.

Here is a good site in china what everyone is raving about, including myself.3633 Electronic Cigarettes at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping Good luck on your quest and happy vaping.

+1 for the Vamo. The Stainless Steel v2 is great - I have two of them. I'm also a constant vaper and they ring my bell perfectly! If you're going to use a Protank I'd get an air flow regulator too as the draw on the Vamo is super-airy without one imho. You'll also get variable wattage with the Vamo which is very handy if you swap out delivery devices a lot. Good luck!

If you have the money get the Provari. The reliability is outstanding, it's built like a tank, has a 1 year warranty with the option to purchase an extra year, and Provapes support is amazing. If the Provari is too expensive for you now, then I would recommend the Tesla. After the Tesla I would recommend the Zmax and maybe the Evic. The Evic has a lot of features that might be confusing to you, because you're new to APV's. That's why I'm a little hesitant to recommend it to you now. The Vamo is a decent mod, but they seem a little more problematic then the others, but it is inexpensive. It's a good idea to read the model specific APV threads to see which one meets your standards. Welcome and good luck! :)

I can tell you right off the bat that more than one will end up being the right PV for you.

If you're like most of us that's not something that you can do all at once, so set up a plan so you can space thing out.
Things have changed since I started a couple of years ago, so I would probably do things a little differently if I were to start out now. (guess you can call that a disclaimer)

My first "real" PV was the Silver bullet. Back then it had the best track record of any PV on the market. There was simple no such thing as a bad review of the SB. This gave me a solid foundation PV that I knew would work come hell or high water.
I then started looking for a VV, and over time found that (for me) the less expensive vv PV's simply didn't last. So I bought a Provari. Would have saved a lot of money if I had just bought the Provari instead of the lava tubes, etc. that have made their way to the trash can.
I then bought a Reo so that I would have a bottom feeder.

This gives me three completely different types of PV's that allows me to play with about any type of vaping that I might be in the mood to try, with the QC/CS to insure that I will never find myself up a creek without a paddle.

I'm going to tell you something different. Yes, I've spent go goobs of money on different devices, which I am happy about, but the single most important factor for me; was the juice. Good gear or bad gear with horrible juice is, well, horrible. So as you budget for hardware, budges for premium juice also!
