how much difference will a Vamo make?

I think mostly because of the cold vape and the metal tip.

This thread pushed me over the fence I was on deciding to get the vamo. I just didn't feel like waiting so I went to my local B&M to get one. Paid about $30 incl tax more than online, but felt the local support was worth the difference.

Anyhow, walked out of the store, got in the car and put my protank on it and took a hit. While not floored at first, by the next day I was understanding its use better and my flavors were coming out better with better vapor production. Now on day 3 and I'm really enjoying this vamo. Really couldn't see how a battery could change things, but by actually using it and applying everything I have read, I now understand how and why.

I also came up with a little neat trick. I didn't like the way the protank fit with that little gap. It seemed loose and would tilt easy. Not wanting it to break off or strip the threads, I ordered the air-flow adapter since my B&M didn't have one. But I didn't want to wait so while at work I took an old Fedex envelope and cut out a circle and hole. A cardboard washer if you will. One wasn't enough so I cut a second. With the two of them it holds the protank tight and even helped the airy draw. It even increase the vapor production and flavor.

I may just head to the hardware store and find me a washer to fit. The cardboard washer makes the protank fit more like it does on my ego-c upgrade with the beauty ring. Snug and solid.

That's an interesting idea. If my air-flow adapter gets lost I'll definitely try this.

So I have spent about 2 weeks comparing apv after apv and the vamo was the choice. I make and sell my own black and mild juice plus many others for family and constantly buy clearomizer/cartomizer, after doing math and realizing my kgo1200 mah was not even close to making my juices what they could be I decided that the vamo is the way to go. I went ft and sure 10 days wait isnot a big deal. Hope it lives up to hype, I bought the adapter so I can use my custom clearomizers I hand make and plus avoid brass connection issues with the vamo. Hope to report back after it arrives..

My VAMO arrived with a Vivi Nova last night. I used it today (18650, NO2 mode with VW at 7W and some experimentation) and while I like it so far it's not a game changer over my Halo Triton. A bit easier to draw longer drags from perhaps, but otherwise seems the same.

Responding to myself with an update. My initial impressions were based on a Vivi Nova. They stand. Today some ProTanks arrived and I can't begin to overstate the difference. With the Protank on, this is night and day. Now I'm getting far more vape than I'm used to and have to really reduce my draw. So in short, with a Protank I can say that the VAMO is nuts! This is redonk good! I tried 3 separate coils with different resistances on the Nova and none come anywhere close.

I am in full agreeance!!! I went from the ego twists with the vivi to the vamo. The soso problems of the vivi got a little better but then got a protank and HOLY CRAP what an amazing improvement in everything across the board. Vamo and KPT is everything ive been wanting in vaping. Great flavor, ease of use, tons of vapor!!! No fuss, no muss!!

I just couldn't stand it anymore and after several beers late last night I ordered a V3 from FT and a Protank!!!
I made sure they were both listed as in stock and to my surprise they had a picture of my package first thing this morning saying it already shipped...How awesome is that!

A few weeks ago I thought you guys were idiots for buying these huge setups and now I'm the idiot...((joking of course))

SMOKTEK charged me 55 plus shipping. Fast Tech had it for 28 with free shipping!!! did i just get overcharged like crazy? or are they knock offs? sorry for the noob questions. new to this whole vaping game.

There seems to be an ongoing debate about FT and whether or not what they sell are "Real" or "Knock-offs". All I can say is I bought the Vamo along with 2 Panasonic 18650 batteries and a Nitecore charger for under 50.00 with a coupon From VaperJoe's. If these are "Knock-offs" I can't tell the difference. I have bought some stuff from FT that was definitely sub-par, including a couple of passthrough batteries and some cartos, but as far as the Vamo kit goes I have no complaints.

I started out with the ego-c starter kit and it got me off analogs, so I will never bad mouth it and highly recommend it for beginners. I then upgraded to a twist, and didn't really see the big fuss about it. I recently received my Vamo 2 from Fast Tech and got an iclear 30 for it. There is absolutely no comparison; this is a whole new level on taste, vapor, and satifaction.

I use the Vamo at home and still take the ego to work because I can *ahem* stash it in my brassiere and stealth vape in the restroom on breaks. Not that I would ever endorse bypassing work rules. :D
