so about 3 weeks ago when i got into RDAs i put all my tanks in the little wooden stand that i have. i fell in love with dripping so i haven't touched them since. earlier today i looked at them and got nostalgic and just felt like having a casual vape out of some of my standard tanks and old devices. so i popped on my iclear pyrex tank and when i draw on it the draw is extremely tight and even a 10 second pull produces the tiniest cloud of vapor i have ever seen. alright whatever, i popped on my iclear 30b, same problem, kanger aerotank, same problem, nautilus on the largest air hole, same problem. aerotank mini, same problem....i don't understand how all my tanks got messed up. I'm assuming it has something to do with letting juice sit in there for weeks. maybe all the coils got gunked up? any ideas?

Your suspicious are correct. Your wick is now hard from letting juice dry up in it. Remember that the wicks in a lot of tanks are not submerged in liquid, therefore if you let glycerin sit too long it will turn it semi hard and it will no longer wick. If you plan on letting a device sit for a while, pull the wick if you can, or take a couple of pulls off it every day or two.

Likely you have not been vaping that long, right?

Might be time to slow down a bit and become truly familiar with your gear/use/maintenance.

I have literally everything from Cartridges to Carto tanks, Clearo's to Kayfuns, Ithakas to Drippers. They are all still used from time to time(Except the 6 drop cartridges) and they all work as designed. I actually still enjoy the change up when required - Stealth/work/public, etc.
Bottom coil devices - not in use - Clean and put away or Stand upside down. Shake before re-using flipped toppers.
Any top coil devices - empty asap - they continue to wick and flood.

Good luck along your journey!

i began vaping this past december. i do know quite a lot but i know i still have stuff to learn. up until like a month ago i only used tanks so i never had issues like this and never even thought about this. i just got into RDAs and my tanks ended up not being used. i mean i never planned on just totally abandoning them so i never thought to like research and take precautions. lesson learned tho. another day another lesson. i don't think i need to slow down with vaping. even someone who has been vaping for years can still learn something new or run into new problems. but now i know. thanks for the reply!
