The mini I purchased from MVS. I see they don't have them in stock but may contact them anyway. They do say there is a 30 day limited warranty.

I agree at least they are inexpensive. I used it for three or four days. I was just hoping for more. :(

Yes, contact them, and let us know what they say.

Well I tried a coil rebuild today, did not work as expected. :( I tried using KGD (just the outer layer of a sheet) and it flooded like crazy. What they are using seems denser, and restricts the juice flow, I am guessing. Going to try again tomorrow using what I pulled off that they were using, to see if it is the material, or something I am doing wrong.

Here is a picture taken apart after 3 tanks full, I use gunky juice.

Here it is ready to finish putting back together.

I will post updates tomorrow (if i have time to try) when I try the 4th time to do this.

Got my second one from FT today  Tracking still has not updated beyond arrived in country, but it took 17 days from order date to delivery by Singapore Post.

How about keeping your set up the same and plugging two of the holes?

I'd imagine that they would not want you to ship an auto firing device.

You have been chosen for a full Icare DISASSEMBLY. Down to the workshop with you!

Pictures are fine, vids if you use a blowtorch or shotgun.

They gave me a postage-paid package sticker and asked me to return the item. I will completely disassemble it. Don't want any exploding packages to make the news. :)

I figure they will treat me okay. I have ordered lots of stuff from them over the past years and this is my only return.

    Edit: Call Out to Everyone....
When you get one gunked up, take it apart and try to identify the material the coil is wrapped with. Thanks :)
Haven't ripped one apart yet, actually I haven't even opened the box  It's been one of those weeks. By the pictures and the videos the construction looks similar to other Eleaf coils that I have opened up. The layer right up against the coil isn't cotton, it's some sort of silica based material, similar to (or maybe the same as) these:
$2.58 Rectangle Silica Wick for RDA RTA RBA Rebuildable Atomizers (20-Pack) 20-pack - single rectangle size: 80*50mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

The cotton seems to feed the juice to that matting material. Other approaches that might work are very tightly packed cotton, or rayon. In RTA's I need much less rayon to keep it from leaking than I would with cotton. Just a thought.

Great! Wish there was a way to test for safety circuits, like shorting.

They ship em to you with the battery, I wouldn't worry about sending back that way. Maybe if they see it all tore apart they won't honor the warranty. Who knows, just a couple thoughts.

I got it rebuilt wit a 1.8Ω NR-R-NR coil from FT, and it is not leaking/Flooding. :D
I used a small piece of KGD around the coil and then re-wrapped it with whatever it was wrapped with when I took it apart.
I think it is a little high on the Ω so my next try I will make a coil, but not sure what they are using to get 9 wraps and only 1.1 Ω, it's measures 30 gauge, but 9 wraps would be over 2 Ω, so it might be a different wire than kanthal, which is all I have, anyone got any ideas what would be 1.1 Ω 1.5ish mm hole, and 9 wraps?

How about keeping your set up the same and plugging two of the holes?
I don't think that would have changed the flooding, but I have already redone it now. :(

That silica sheets could be what they are using, because it does not wick as good as cotton, in the cart it goes. :) I might try wrapping the KGD real tight and see if that would work, but not today, time for a beer :toast: and my dripper :vapor:. :D

I bought 2 of these for my wife and she dropped one. The glass tank inside cracked a little above the full line. I plan on taking it apart to try and fix it for heck of it. I paid $14 for mine including shipping so it didn't hurt too much(friggin wife). She drops everything... Anyone break or take theirs apart yet?

If it supposedly has a 1 ohm low resistance limit would that not be the equal of short circuit protection? I have no idea, just asking.

I have no real idea, maybe the 1Ω limit is just a stated limit and not a regulated saftey.

28gage Kanthal, 1.5mm dia., 9/8wrap gets you close to the 1.1Ω

In just had a terrible couple of hours! Decided to check out my 2nd unit before I go out on the road with it. Primed the coil and TRIED to vape it. Gurgling and spitting mouthfuls of juice up the tube at me! WTH? Thought maybe I over primed. Cleared the tube and coil, tried again same thing. Arrrr bad coil? Tried another.... same thing! Grrrr!
So now I'm frustrated and figured... Well I've got two prime candidates for attempting a rebuild. Tore one open looked at and put back together. Same with the second. Put in the last of the coils that came with the units. Same thing!?!? WHAT'S GOING ON??? I did wonder if the actuator was delayed on the second coil but watched for the light... it was firing instantly, it's not that.
So I pull a 4th coil out of the pack from a B&M.... SAME FREAKING DEAL! WHAT THE FREAKING H E DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS IS GOING ON? The first unit worked fine with the first coil. WHAT'S DIFFERENT?

Then I remembered. With the first unit I ran a full tank of very gunky commercial juice thru the coil before REMOVING the afc ring. With the second unit I remove the ring on first fill with my near flavorless juice. So I put the 4th 'bad' coil on the 1st unit and replaced the afc ring. Bingo, working as it should. Put 1 of the 'fiddled with' coils in unit 2 with afc in place. Working well enuf. Occasional gurgle and sizzly but not sending anything up the tube.

So I would suggest not removing the afc ring as I had seen at least 1 reviewer say you could.

    I thought the same

I just pulled the stem and the coil out. :) They send them with the stem in place but no coil attached.

I think it will be ok. If not ... ehhh.

Does not seem as it is 28 gauge wire, which I have, seems bigger than what they used.

30ga. stainless, either SS316 or SS304, should give you about 1.1Ω at 2mm ID and 9 wraps.
Well Crap, Don't have any, Guess I see another order coming. I WILL FIGURE OUT HOW TO REBUILD THESE THINGS. :D

BTW, they use ALL resistance wire, not NR-R-NR coils, FYI :)
