My iCare replacement will be here today, and I'm anxious to see how one of these are that is working properly. I'm gonna hold off awhile before ordering a bunch of atomizers for this. I'll have the two that come with it, plus the pack of five I ordered originally, so that'll hold me for awhile, and I can see if the iCare holds up for that length of time.

I use these fly tying bobbins for wire management.

I received the replacement iCare today, and got it up and running. Same thing as the first, a good second or a little more before it starts firing, or at least that long before I can tell it's firing by hearing it sizzling a bit.
I'm a MTL vapor, and MTL vaping this just doesn't get it done, so I lowered the nic level and started DL'n it, this I can live with if that's the way it has to be. As I said before when I got the first one, I really like the size and feel of this, very nice to just drop in my shirt pocket. Now we'll see how it holds up. Next I think I'll try a myjet. Maybe we need a thread for that one also?

I have 2, one from ECC and one from FT, both fire within a second of starting to draw. But I have noticed, on one I have the AFC removed, and on the other I only have 1 hole open, they are the same for airflow, tight, really strange. I think the coils have something to do with air flow, have more testing to do. But I have noticed the tighter the air flow, the quicker it fires. Try 1 (or2) holes on the AFC and see if that makes a difference. Let us know.

Sounds like your supplier just might have a bad batch :( That sucks :(

Yeah, could be, but by changing the way I vape, It's useable. By going dl, taking a long slow hit, I can get plenty of vapor. The flavor is off for me, but then I am used to, and prefer, rayon for wicking.

This is how I've been hitting mine from the start. Bought them due to the DTL performance I'd seen in reviews. Easy adjustment for me from the restrictive DTL of my Lemos with wide open afc. Finally seem to have a coil working in my 2nd unit without flooding (so far).

Edit: For my vape style and near flavorless juice I think they would have done well with only 2 juice holes in the coil. Any suggestions on how to block off two of the holes?
