All over the place
Went to one of the links in here...put one in the cart with 5 packs of coils.
$14.00 shipping !

No thank you - I really shouldn't be shopping anyway.

I swear, I think you'll like it.

@DC2 You get yours yet?

I have mine set to one airhole open and am loving it.

Yes, I got it and took it for a spin on Friday night and Saturday night.
Today, while watching football, I used my standard gear.

For context, I have been dripping straight into a 510 atomizer for over 7 years.
I have been doing that on an Ego Twist for the last 5 years or so.

So I found the flavor of the iCare to be somewhat muted, but not too bad.
It definitely works well and the vapor is just fine.

Sometimes I get a bit of popping and even some juice in the mouth now and then.
That's something I haven't had happen in a long time.
But it doesn't really bother me too much.

All in all I like it a lot and will probably use it for a number of situations.
I'm also thinking about picking up the mini as well.
:)

Just wondering what PG/VG Ratio you are running? First I have seen anyone post about "juice in the mouth". I normally run a higher PG and was wondering if I might need to mix up some higher VG to run in the iCare. I HATE juice in the mouth. :-x

I'm using Halo, and to my knowledge they have never divulged their PG/VG ratio.
But if I were to guess, around 70/30 is what I would say.

Well that was an interesting search. My Googlefoo is strong, but I could not find the exact PG/VG of halo juice. Best I could find was someone who they told
the mix is between 60-70pg
So you could be right at the 70/30, which is what I normally vape. I have some 50/50 Nicoticket juice that I normally cut with PG to get my 70/30 ratio that I like, so I guess I'll try that first when mine gets here today from ECC. Still no idea what is going on with the one from FT coming Singapore Post, it hit the US last Thursday morning according to 17track, but did not say where, just "Arrived at Destination Country USA", and has not changed since. :(

:banana::banana::banana: Vape Mail :banana::banana::banana:

My iCare came in from ECC right on time.

First Impressions

1. Heaver than I was expecting, seems solid built, but I'm not going to do a drop test (at least not on purpose ).
2. Not sure on rebuilding the coils, they are small. I'll try once I gunk up one.
3. Vape is warmer than I am used to, every now and then it's hot on the lips, but not really a bad thing, just different.
4. Did a slow 12-13ish second DL till it cut off, and fires 3 to 4 seconds fine on my MTL vapes, so it is firing fine.
5. I have Wakonda in it 50/50, not bad flavor, but I have tanks/drippers that have better flavor, but it's passable.
6. Vapor production is not bad, on par with what I normally use during the day, but not even close to clouds.
7. Changing the air holes is a PITA, but once it is set, shouldn't have to change it again. I am running them all open.
8. The threads to screw the coil/chimney in could be smoother, but that's a minor thing.
9. Having the automatic actuator so exposed when filling is a bad thing, if it is damaged the iCare won't work. Should have been more protected from damage IMO.
Going to take it to work tomorrow and see how it does using it all day. Hard to do a proper test right now, as afternoons it is time to drink a few beers :toast: and crank up the watts in my drippers :vapor:

Just tried the first of my 2 Icares. Pretty pleased with it. I was going to wait until I mixed up a new batch of my tobaccoffee juice tomorrow but that didn't happen.

So, I primed the coil with 2 drops in the center plus a drop in each hole and watched it get sucked in. Filled the tank with Berry Bomb. REMOVED the AFC ring completely and put it together and vaped. No waiting a couple minutes.

The automatic actuator is very responsive. Doing DTL hits. Quite restrictive for DTL but not very much tighter than my current ADVs, 2 Lemo RTAs and the vapor is nearly a match for the Lemos. I'm really pleased that i think I'll be able to adapt to them as my new ADV devices. Very solid feeling little Mods also. A bit more heft to them than I expected. As for flavor? What can I say? I'm pleased with it. Flavor is so subjective and I'm neither a flavor chaser or a cloud chaser. I like that lungs full of vapor sensation and I'm getting that from these little gems. And it's been a long time since I've vaped this Berry flavor also. The vape does get warmer than I expected but if I put the tip in my mouth far enuf that the vapor doesn't hit the inside of my lips that's not a problem. All in all I'm very happy with the Icare.

Oh, and that P Busardo video has me fairly well convinced that the coils are gonna be rebuildable. Looks to me like those FT nr-r-nr coils might be a near perfect fit.

G'nite

It's gotten to the point that I don't give an [edited] what Busardo has to say. Used to love watching his videos but now it's like he's on an ego trip or something.
Lol, yeah I've gotten to where I take everything I watch or read with a grain of salt. From reviewers to forum posters. I sometimes think this forum software should automatically attach a YMMV to the end of every post, including mine. ;)

OK, so time to list the minor cons that I've found with this device so far. Nothing really significant. Yet.

1. Filling. Make sure you're in a very well lit area. Difficult to see the full line.

2. Not easy to see the battery level indicater light while hitting on it and it goes out the moment you stop.

3. The slip-on cap/mouthpiece concerns me. There is so much resistance from the little rubber cover over the actuator that I'm thinking with time and wear it might be a problem keeping the top securely in place? Or damage to the actuator itself?

Totally agree on points 1 and 3, especially 3. That cap is going to be a problem for sure. Hopefully eLeaf sells them separately at some point but I'm not holding my breath. If my cap wears out and eLeaf doesn't offer to sell them separately then I'll just toss the iCare and try the MyJet.

Haven't really had an issue with the indicator light.

I am having an issue with dry/burnt hits. My first fill up I used 50/50 juice and had no issues. Second fill up I switched to a higher VG juice (not sure what the VG level is as the juice is simply labelled "High VG") and the issues began. I think I'll just stick to 50/50 or even lower VG juice in the iCare.

The only juice I've used in it so far is 60v/40p. I did experience a hint of dry hit this morning but that was probably cuz i vaped to near empty. I think actual usable capacity for this rig is probably more like 1.5-1.6ml rather than 1.8 it will hold. The tobaccoffee juice I had planned to mix up is 65v/35p. I'd better try a couple test batch ratios first.

Yeah, I feel the cap will be a problem at some point, hopefully it will last quite a while. If they do come out with a new and improved version, will we be able to get it stateside?

Output - PWM OR UNREGULATED? VAVG, VRMS, OR MEAN?

Well, I've read that it has low ohm cutoff @1 ohm. Doesn't that make it regulated? At least to some degree. I couldn't guess at the type of regulation. But with all the (teeny) pop and sizzle going on I don't detect any rattlesnakeing. Don't think it's mean.

Draw timer? Protection circuitry on mod and pcc?
I haven't hit a cutoff yet but doubt I'm doing more than 7-8 seconds. I've actually backed off the long draws a bit this morning.

I'll be checking the ohms on spare carto later.
Looking forward to hearing your results.

Well since I'm liking the Icare I went ahead and ordered 3 packs of coils $10.50 from that presell site mentioned earlier with the rediculous shipping fees. Only because I had won $5 credit (covered the shipping) in a giveaway. Think I had up to 5 packs in my cart before the shipping started going up.

I just hope the iCares last long enough to use all the extra atomizers we are buying for them. :)
