I have same results with rayon; I use rayon everywhere now. I had a thought though: since wool (actual clean, undyed, sheep's wool) doesn't burn and absorbs way more liquid than cotton without dripping, I wondered if anyone has ever tried wool for wicking? It actually puts fire out until you get to really high, consistent temperatures (way longer than your typical hit), and absorbs 30% liquid without feeling wet, and actually warms up when wet instead of feeling cold, like cotton/rayon. It's a protein fiber, not a cellulosic (like cotton and rayon). Idk which, if any, of these properties make a difference, just reporting them for science's sake
Anyone tried it?
