I love that story Clark! I admit I am a bit younger (born '87) but I have two older brothers and I fondly remember my hand me down 80's toys. I had a freaking skull mountain thing from he-man with a couple figures that I loved I bet that would be worth money today. And when you mentioned pro wrestling, that took me way back. Used to play that all the time. My version of Nintendo for you is the sega master system...what a console.
As far as arcade games, where do I start? My grandfather used to own an arcade are the Jersey shore and we would go all the time. He had an awesome collection of more retro machines (this was the mid 90's) and I would earn quarters by emptying the machines for him into buckets, I'd get paid "a handful" but to be honest I liked doing it. Definitely beats empty beer cans Clark!
I kinda hate to tell this story because I don't want to sound spoiled or anything, I am very much a working class man but he gave us a machine every year for a few years...I actually had a ms Pac man machine as well as street fighter and NBA jam.
I guess your fondness for the 80's reminded me of my own mostly 90's childhood, so thanks for letting me reminisce a little.

Got me a Zots today and before I knew it the wife took it and enjoyed it... She asked me what store I got it at and I laughed.. Finally told her that Clark sent it to us. Clark, she says thank you very much.

you're welcome Partsmunkie, lol - give our best to the wife. We need to start sending two zotz, one to appease the SO with, and another to enjoy yourself. LMAO

I had a buddy who had the Sega Master System. I distinctly recall playing it with Bobby Brown's "Don't Be Cruel" playing on repeat. He had just gotten the first CD player I had ever seen and it was the only CD we had. I look back and realize the only thing cruel about the whole scenario was that we listened to 1 Bobby Brown song for 10 hours straight. S'ok though, Sonic had our back. ;)

Love the story!! Thank you for sharing it!~
