Almond Question

I need an almond extract flavor. Not the toasted, nutty kind, but a flavor like you get when you put almond extract in your pound cake.

I have had 3 different ready made ejuice flavors with amaretto in the title, and they all tasted HORRIBLE to me..like vomit..and I've avoided that like the plague since.

Is there a good almond extract flavored flavoring out there? Or does that just not transfer well to vaping..for me at least?

I see FA has an almond. Does anyone have experience with whether or not that is sweet almond or nutty almond?

I'm just wondering if you've tried just almond extract from your local grocery store. The kind you would actually put in your pound cake. Maybe just mix a very small amount of almond extract will work for you. Maybe put a touch of vanilla with it, you get vanilla in cake too! Let me know.

Can't really describe it, but, most are using FA Almond at less than 2%, usually 1%, in recipes.

Coincidentally, Bullcity sent me a sample of FW amaretto. Which of course, is most likely the flavoring used in the juices that gacked me out previously.

Feeling brave and/or careless tonight, I went ahead and mixed up some vanilla cupcake with amaretto. Hey, it was free and I only made 10 mL so we'll see. So far, it smells spot on for an almond cake. Haven't tried it yet, wish me luck! I'm a little scared lol

I don't typically like too many FW flavorings so I am also going to try a few other vendor's amaretto. I have a feeling that is where I will get more of the almond extract flavor I am looking for, as opposed to the nutty kind. I did check my bottle of almond extract in the cupboard, and nope, too many additives not good for vaping.

Will post back with how it turns out after I let it sit a few days!

Almond ammereto is a almond liqueur it's not a almond extract like McCormick or whatever so ammereto wouldn't be what your looking for

Yes, I am very familiar with amaretto, it's a favorite of mine Going on what my nose tells me though, the FW flavoring is quite similar to what I'm looking for. Time will tell I guess..along with samplings of other flavor manufacturer's stuff.

To me amarreto has a strong alchohal taste and smell that does not go away even with steeping

Fa Marzipan will give a sweet almond flavor .
