The number is even higher amidst nonsmokers. And a number of Healthcare professionals to boot. At least in the UK the NHS catches on to the "it'll be cheaper to treat vapers even if there are some rare health issues than among those who continue to smoke". Economics can be a big motivating force, for both good and bad, like in the US where vaping appears more like a new tax revenue source than a savings in Healthcare spending.

Probably 1 or 2 out of 10 people that I talk to about vaping think that vaping is more harmful than smoking. Out of those 1 or 2 people per 10, I can get maybe 1 of 3 of them to pay attention and think for themselves. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

The best demonstrations I've seen are the YouTube videos that compare smoking to an equal amount of vaping. At the end of the test the cigarette jar is covered in thick tar and and the vaping jar is clean and clear.
