In 28 hours, I managed to finally drop and scuff up my reo. I knew it was coming eventually, I just didn't imagine it would be so soon. I dropped it on the cement when I got out of my car. It's on the back side on the top right hand corner, barely distinguishable by eye but very noticeable by touch. It's sharp. I am soooooooo glad I did not get a woodvil. Since I got my reo yesterday, I've felt the need to throw it at walls, run over it, and tie it to a gas stove with the burners on while throwing tomatoes at it. But I didn't. After today, I will never want to again. My heart was filled with sheer terror when I heard it clink to the ground. Hold your reo close to you tonight.

Yep, been there. Sucks, but adds character. It was heartbreaking when it happened, but a few days later I was over it. If you ever change your mind about the gas stove, please film it for us lol

i dropped mines a week or so ago, on my way out the door of my apartment. i was upset. but i'll live, could have been my old wood mod, then i would be really screwed

Its a drag when it happens but on the + side you wont break it.My grand looks like I used it to grade the driveway

Haha. Thanks for the support ya'll. I think we'll make it. I can agree with the character part. He's looking a bit more rugged and manly. I don't think I can break him, which is partially why I felt the need to try. Either way, he's a glorious beast and a box full of awesome.

See post 15. I had to do this today as I dropped it loading up the truck with grocery bags. Couldn't see a pile of dirt in the parking lot so I just skipped those steps.

Hahaha! MamaD, that is too cute. What better way is there to assure yourself that everything is all right than extensive vaping? I'll forgo the dirt, as the trauma has worn off. Next time though, I'll be rolling in it so that it can evenly coat my anguish.

That does look interesting. Too bad it doesn't come in funner colors. The protective aspect of it is what interests me. Do you think it would add a significant thickness to it though? It looks kinda thick. Hah. Never mind. Key word: vinyl. The reflective quality would make the mini look like a very classy pimp =P

Dang. That has me absolutely tickled. Can you imagine having a reo in golden burl or white marble? It would be beautiful!

This stuff is indestructible. I use it on the bumpers of my iRobot Roombas and Dirtdogs. It protects antiques from the bumping from the older versions of Roombas and protects the bumpers of the newest model Roombas that don't crash into things very hard. I haven't put any on a Reo but will when I locate the tape in my mess. I have no doubts it will protect the Reo and not even scuff with most boo-boos. It is thicker than the thin film protectors, like for screens, but not nearly as thick as silicone skins. It is totally clear. It comes in UV treated and non. It is incredible stuff.

I have a red REO with stainless steel door and I am proud to say that after many months (how many Rob? Lots!) it is still ding-free. The only blemish is on the door where I have worn down the finish, and it has taken on a rugged blackened color from it being constantly in my hand.

Now my wife's on the other hand... dropped at least 5 times, fallen off the hood of the car, and showered... still beautiful. That shiny purple is an amazing finish.

Best mods ever!

I dropped my mini in the driveway and didn't realize it once (how the heck did I not hear it ???)

Anyway, then I stepped on it and "ground" it into the asphalt .... then I heard it !!!

It looked like it had some scratches till I wiped it off with my shirt ... Scratch Free ... Yay !!
