The next substantial qualitative upgrade would be to a rebuildable device like a kayfun. It's not for everyone but it is quite a bit easier than most people imagine. I built my first coil in 20 mins, competently built a standard microcoil by my 3rd try and I'm not handy at all. What I found is that the time I spend building a coil is a fraction of the time I spent fiddling with my kanger devices over the long haul. So baically it's more convenient in the long run, more cost efficient in the long run and provides a superior vape.

I have the Aerotank mega. I currently use it with the 1.5 ohm head on an EVOD battery (3.7 volts) while I wait for my Provari to arrive. I am very satisfied with the mega, but I will need a bit more power to optimize the vaping experience. I think that 11 or 12 watts would be best ( 4.1 volt or 4.3 volt).
I have had no gurgling issues and the coils last for above 30ml of vaping. The adjustable airflow works very well. I am currently at a medium setting for airflow (optimal setting for me while using in combination with the EVOD battery). I will experiment more with airflow and power once I get my variable voltage device.

The Aeroatank Mega is really good. I have both the regular and giant. Great airflow control. Well built. Only con is you can't fill them all the way by the upside down method. I took my giant and drilled and tapped a hole in the top so I could make use of all that space. Broke 3 drill bits and one tap but got it. I kid you not when you fill them there is a big gap at the top when you turn it upright. Other than that wasted space I love em. Going to make some vertical coils for them next. LOL

awesome, thanks for all the useful replies.
I love the kayfun, but the price point is kinda high for my range. I rarely spend anything more than 20-25 bucks for a tank. and 50-65 for a mod but kayfun is 100+ which is kinda way off my price point, but my biggest issue is that it does not come with a pyrex section, the SS cover kinda covers the juice level.

And the other thing is that, I'm no stranger to rebuilding but getting hold of organic cotton is kinda hard in my country, buying kanthal is no probs even now I have 32G and 28G spools.

does anyone care to suggest a good Kayfun alternative for a good price point?

Cheers
Joel

I had the exact same set up before going to RDA
I also bought a Kayfun Nano
EHPro Kayfun Nano

Really wonderful flavor, and the air flow on the Nano seems better on my Kayfun then on my mechs - go figure
Running at a 1.4 which was the same that I rebuilt on my by Pro Tank2

Pro Tanks with your own coil and cotton also make a big difference

I haven't made the jump to RBA's myself (but I do have a IGO-W coming in the mail to start me off soon!), but I've read that there are many high quality clones out there at a descent price (as in, they work 95% as well as the real deal, and some have said certain clones have made improvements on the authentic version). Quite a few people stay away from clones for philosophical reasons, but if you have budgetary constraints, don't think twice about it.

Like mentioned above, the EHPro clones seem to be high quality. CanVape carries a good selection of them:
Ehpro

EDIT: Ooops, forgot I wasn't in the Canada forum. That CanVape link might not be the best choice for my American neighbors. Might be able to find better prices down there.

Joe, we got our Mega's in last and mine this week, LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! it's about as close as it gets to my "Russian" without having to rebuild coils. No issues, it does suck the juice (that or I just use it more because it's so delish!)

we're ordering a Turbo as soon as it's available, but for now it's my tank of choice. Hands down way better than the Nautilus.
