Hi all.
I'm new to vaping, brand new .
I just received the Ego AIO kit in the mail and I'm trying to set it up.
I followed youtube tutorial videos to help.
I added 8 drops to the coil (in the hole), screwed the coil on the top part again .
Filled the tank till just under max.
Also charged it till the red light went out.

Clicked the button five times, it lights up , I suck air but there's no vapor?
none whatsoever. So what could I be doing wrong?

I was worried that this would happen :(
I hope someone can help.

Also, I'd love a beginners kit that clearly indicates whether the device is on or off, or at least a beginners kit that turns on/off a bit less fussy
I think it's off but can't be sure now as I turned it on and off several times o_O

Welcome to ECF and to vaping. So glad you are here. I agree with the above suggestion and hope that is all it is. There seems to be so much we all had to learn at one time. I have been vaping for almost 9 years now and still think it is awesome. Good luck to you and I look forward to reading about your exciting journey.

That's actually the kit that I quit smoking on but the key for me was finding a juice that I really liked and I initially had the same issues I was like this is nowhere close to the same as smoking I tried really hard to find a flavor or something that was similar to smoking well there isn't one there are tobacco but they're not going to taste like a burnt piece of tobacco. Once I finally got a juice that I enjoyed I played some mind games with myself because if I tell myself I can't do something or someone else tells me I can't do it it makes me inherently want to do it more even if I'm not aware that that's what I'm doing It's a whole subconscious mess I'm glad I'm aware of it but it just kind of makes me upset that I have to be so bullheaded no matter what lol. But anyhow I basically quit by telling myself I'm going to have a cigarette in 5 minutes. And then when 5 minutes came I had forgotten that I had told myself I was going to have a cigarette 5 minutes and when I remembered I was like oh well I'll just wait another 10 minutes. I always had the cigarettes on me or around me I didn't throw away lighters or ashtrays or anything I made zero commitment I pretty much did the exact opposite thing that they tell you to do and it worked great. But one thing you are going to have to give up the idea of is that it's going to be the exact same because it's absolutely not It's not combustion so it can't be. And you have to find a flavor that you like and you're right about one thing It is much different more difficult now than it's been before I imagine for new vapors who don't already know what they want. And its really sad.

If you quit smoking 15 yrs ago, you are not doing yourself any favors by jumping on the nicotine train again. Especially now, with the way the vape industry is going. You may find yourself addicted to nicotine again and no good supply.

Agree. I am returning to vaping to quit smoking. There are suppliers of nicotine, and I now have enough stashed, and the equipment to make my own juices. The problem will be devices. You have a lot to learn in a very short amount of time (we believe). Why do you wish to start vaping? Did you start smoking again?

Yeah, but did you press the fire button (which is the same button as the on/off button) while you sucked?

You know it's off when you press the fire button and it doesn't light up...and you don;t hear any noise from the tank.

Stress. Sadness. etc Especially with all that's been going on the last few years in the world, all done on purpose. I feel this is one of the few flickers of light in my life

With the way the world is going I don't think it's going to matter sadly. Stores will be empty of most goods.

Also, I've been longing for cigarettes for the longest time now, keep trying to put of going back to smoking but it's very hard. So I thought I'd try vaping as it doesn't mean I will smell like an ashtray again etc.

Thank you all btw for the warm welcome :)
Sadly I've been stuck reading all the vaping bans, regulations , mail bans etc threads . So infuriating because of a few greedy powerhungry stuckup hypocritical self-righteous a**hats we will be stuck without!
I don't see a ban on alcohol yet drunk driving kills many , none are killed by us vaping! :-x

Funny you say that. I've been recently selling/trying to sell some of my vapocalypse stash to increase my apocalypse food stash. I see very hard times ahead.

But let's talk about your AIO kit, is it working now? Any lights? Any vapor?

Welcome, agateaqua.

I hope vaping will keep you off cigarettes. I suggest collecting some supplies now, while you can, including nic base, more batteries, some glass tanks and coils. It may seem like unnecessary spending now, but remember, you'll use those supplies later, whether they become more scarce, more expensive, or not. Some of those ego batteries can be had for 7-8.00 each.

Also subscribe to alerts from CASAA.org to stay on top of political/government developments in our access to vape supplies.

I, too, am feeling very weary of a world that seems so unstable. I try to catch up on projects that had to wait when I was so busy, keep in touch with the ones I love, keep centered, and keep going.

Courage to you, and to all of us.
