altered taste when i vape menthol fav

i drink coffee mainly..when i drink "local coffee"(kopi kau kau!) and vape my fav menthol fav..it taste nothing like menthol..can only compare to very strong cigar taste..very strange but still ok with me..wonder what will be like if i drink starbuck coffee & vape my menthol fav?..but my usual Nescafe i still get to taste menthol fav when i vape or any soft drink i take..no alter in taste...only local coffee hahaha..regards mafig ps any1 has different experience,like mine ?

I've had similar experiences with really strong coffee and vaping! The flavour of the coffee tends to coat my entire mouth and I find that it can and will distort the flavour of whatever I'm vaping!

Same here....coffee kau or even anything sweet makes my juice taste different. The only flavor I have tried that doesn't really get affected too much is RY4, which tends to be very strong flavor.

for my preference....i like to match like this....

* coffee, teh tarik, chocolate drinks (eg.milo) - tobacco flavour

* wine, fruit drinks - fruit + mint / menthol flavour

* bear, soda, carbonate drinks....the th is too strong overcoming any vaping flavour th...not yet found any suitable flavour matching. hmm.....

* While doing admin work in front PC - any flavours

Haha....I didn't notice you vaping on tobacco flavors during out last 2 mamak sessions with teh tarik and milo?

when i first had my kit..i ordered sample 5ml bottles with diff strength from 0-36mg nicotine..after vaping all of it..i just settled on menthol/tabacco favs(18mg nicotine) as these favs dont clashed with my tastebud for food.. be4 as an analog smoker..my taste sensation is not good..food dont seem to interest me..hungry also i dont feel like eating...but ever since,strictly vaping for 2 months..my tastebud has returned ..i appreciate the taste i get from eating & enjoying it..still i dont like laksa or anything smelly in food,except durians! hahaha..regards mafig ps any1 has the same feeling for their food be4,like me?

I was vaping my cuba and red usa mix flavour at mamak while drinking milo ice, very good match. and i think i was inspired by you that....i like DK Tab now too! Sweet!

haha RY4 is good too, that day both my attys have flavours so i didn't vape RY4.

Can't wait to try it on our new dual coil 1.5ohms carto when we meet up.

Hey Mafig,

Pretty much every vape regardless of which flavor will change its flavor according to what you had or what you drink. I find it very fascinating as you do too! Cotton candy can taste like ice lemon tea when I have my mentos chewing gum. With coffee or ice lemon tea, i get some funky pleasurable tastes too!
