Altoids Box Mod Passthrough feature help???

I'm planning on building a simple Altoid tin box mod, which consists of a single 18650 connected to a 510 connector and a momentary push button. I'm considering incorporating a micro-usb passthrough feature to this mod as well. What is the best way that I would go about this? I've seen the micro-usb chips offered with the dna 30 Evolv chips, but I do not want to build a DNA30/20 mod, I just want it to have a passthrough feature.

Many mod setups are not true passthroughs; they are simply able to be used while recharging. If this works for you, then any charging chip will work. I have done this on four DIY mods and the convenience is a big plus. It never actually bypasses the batteries for vaping, however. :) This is easy to add to an Altoids box.

This is what you want to do and it is basically how many bought devices work, if it was an true passthrough you would need a much better power supply, this uses some of the power from the wall but makes up for shortages by tapping the battery.
