i've come to a decision on buying one...anyone with pics of their setups that will help me pull that trigger?preferably silver vein....still not sure between silver and silver vein.also which is better for low resistance, the 14500 aw imr 600 mah or 14500 ultrafire 900mah?i assume aw imr because safe chemistry, slower drop off rate and high drain for lr?

I don't have a decent cam so I don't have a picture, but I do have a silver vein BB, and while I do love it, something to think about, it is smaller around then the SB so you can not put a kick with it.

Now while I have not used a bolt, I have read on the forum that there is a wire inside that can come loose, that may or may not be a problem for some, but I wanted something I knew I could count on. The BB is just as sturdy as the full sized SB, but does fit easier in my hand or purse.

Nothing against the BB, Cuz I have one, but you'd be better off gettin a Bolt. They're about 50 bucks cheaper and they take a 18500 which lasts quite a bit longer than a 14500.

Nah, stick with altsmoke the original.. not Chinese knock offs.. imo

Since no one has posted a pic yet, here's my silver vein SB (I know you want pics of a BB) with a Vivi Nova.

I've had my BB since April. Got it along with the Silver Bullet, as I couldn't decide between the two. I love it. It hits as hard as the SB, makes as much vapor, and can be more stealthy if that is what you are looking for. As someone pointed out, it no longer has options to increase voltage like stacking or using a kick, or even the old pass thru. For what it is, its a great mod which I still use, although not as much as my Provari or Bullet.

** A word of warning, though. The BB is so small that it is tempting to put it into a pocket. Be aware how easy that horned button is to be accidentally pressed. I had both the BB and SB in a pants side pocket in my locker at work. I went to take a couple of toots during a break, and the BB was too hot to touch. It had also emitted a black sooty substance, and there was a burnt odor in the area.

The BB's button switch had been activated by being compressed by the SB in my pocket. Who knows how long the switch was activated, but the battery had a thermal run-away event and vented, exploding both ends off. And this was a so-called "protected" 14500 Trustfire 900 mah battery. I'll post pics of the battery from my other computer later.

The vented power switch did its job; that's where the black sooty substance from the battery escaped. Remarkably, the BB continued to work with a new battery after an internal cleanup. However the switch stopped working a few days later and needed to be repaired by Chad at AltSmoke. He put in a new switch/wiring and replaced the hot spring and it is as good as new now. And at no charge for repair or return shipping. Great service by AltSmoke.

That said, the BB is just as well machined and robust as the Silver Bullet. No regrets at all. I mostly use it now when I wish to vape less conspicuously in public, it hidden easily in my cupped fist.

Back again, now on the other computer. Here is the "protected" Trustfire battery that vented in my BB. Completely user error. Normal battery beside it for comparison.

Sorry for the lousy pics, it was a new camera I wasn't used to yet.
