Not entirely sure.... Was working great for a few days. Then I guess it shorted out somewhere. I'm guessing the charging board, that's where it started to glow, and hissing sound started. So I threw it out into the parking lot at work. It smoked like a SOB. Fried everything.

I had a close call and so I probably went overkill with the LP mini blade fuse. But I like to tinker so its nice that I can pull the fuse and tinker and then put it back in once everything is safely in its place.

@jmarkus, Many people use a PTC fuse. They are about the size of a mini blade fuse and reset themselves after cooling down. Of course if the problem that caused the issue isnt fixed it will immediately trip again.
Sorry you had a meltdown....from the picture it seems that it may have been a battery failure (or dead short of the battery leads).....according to the burn, heat pattern on the mod cover....if that was the cause, I do not believe a fuse would have made any difference in the outcome....

Yeah I think it was a dead short, the one battery did go critical but the other did not. I emailed Brandon, he asked me to send him the board. So I guess we will see what the board does when it gets to him.
Good thing it only smoked and also it didn't happen in your pocket. That would really ruin my day.
