Am i dry burning correctly?

So today i ran out of ejuice so i figured i would dry burn my first clearomizer to clean it.

So I emptied all the ejuice from it, i filled it with hot water, shaking it for a few seconds, emptied it, and repeated the same process about 10 times. Then i blew on the battery side to take all the water out, I made sure there is no water dripping down the battery and made sure that the area where battery goes in is dry. btw I'm using an eGo-T. So after I did that, i put the clearomizer on the battery, and try dry burning it. I hear a sizzling sound, but I do not see any vapor or water. I am not sure if it's clean and just doesen't have gunk on it or is the clearomizer shot. I'm assuming if the clearomizer is dead it wouldn't make any noise.

So what makes me wonder if there is a problem is that I'm dry burning and it is not giving any smoke from burning the gunk or whatever. I am holding the button for 3 seconds, letting it go, wait 5 seconds, repeated the process, no smoke. It does get hot though, so i'm assuming the clearomizer is extra clean, but I want to make sure it is still functional before I put new ejuice in it. What do you guys think?

u can take the wick assembly out - grab the bridge w/ needlenose pliers and yank it out, take it apart and clean it and then dry burn it. should be good as new when ur done.

Yeah but my question is, how come I'm not getting any smoke from dry burning it

ego-t atomize ur using? u wont get any smoke dry burning unless u take the wick out.

If you're sizzling, the wick is probably still too wet. Sometimes it takes me 5+ sizzles to get to the point where it's actually dry burning.

I'm not sure which clearo you're using, but is there a way to see the coils glowing as you're pulsing the button? Once you see your coils glow red, they're pretty clean. The sizzle stops when the water has been burned/evaporated off.

Lahme, It sounds like the wick is still wet. When the wick is saturated with water, it only sizzles. Once you hold power to the coil long enough the sizzling will subside and the coil will begin to glow. Once the gunk is all burnt off you should be able to clearly see all the loops of coil as they heat up and begin to glow.
It sounds like you havn't dry burned long enough to dry the wick , and actually begin to dry burn the coil.

ego-t's don't dry burn unless u remove the bridge/wick assembly, if ur using some sort of clearo we need to know which one

not a good idea to burn an ego-t wick till it glows but ok...better off taking it out and cleaning it...

I'm assuming OP meant they have an eGo-T battery.

I'm using a CE4 Startdust clearomizer. And I have been trying to dry burn for a lil while now it still hasnt done anything but sizzle, and I see no glow

Lahme. have you removed the silicone sleeve and peg, so that you can see the coil inside the cup?

oh...ce4's are disposable in my experience, i know others attempt to clean them etc but imo it's a waste of time. if its not hitting right its time to get a new one...or just get a vivi nova and u can rebuild it.

not worth it man imo lol, believe me i;ve tried doing what ur doing and it didn't turn out well...those things aren't really meant to be cleaned...they're use and toss imo

Lahme, you want to remove those from the top. then you can see the coil, ang get an idea as to what is going on. Cleaning is important on the ce based units for good performance. Get a tweezer and remove the silicone, then remove the center spike so you can see the coil. ZIf you have sizzle then the coil is working you just need to finish the dry burn and it should perform correctly again

I vaped 20mg, and it worked very very good, no burning wick taste, I just cleaned it cause I thought it'd be a good ideea, which I think it is. I find it bizzare how i went through 20 mg and this thing is still running
