So I bought an authentic sentinel mod off a forum. I slapped in my battery attached my atty and my mod got instantly hot and my battery as well. I took out the battery and let it rest until it cooled down.

Since then I have been mostly using my turtle ship with a short fuse. I thought the issue with the sentinel was because I was new at building attys. I used the sentinel a few times without any issues. But today I decided to use the sentinel for awhile with out a short fuse since I was using the Aerotank.

Again the exact same thing happened! The mod got super hot and the battery as well. It was not to the point that I couldnt touch the Mod I was still able to loosen it to take out the battery but it was very hot.

I checked the ohms on my aerotank thinking it was shorted but its completley fine. I had checked my battery before and it was at 3.9 vaults.
Can any one give tell me whats going on here . I hope i didnt spend so much money on a Mod that doesnt work!

THanks

Sounds like the current isn't flowing properly and the resistance caused by the current having nowhere to go is building heat up. This can be quite dangerous if i remember correctly. Have you tried a different battery? and also try a different atomiser see if that helps

edit - oh wait scratch the atomiser suggestion you already did, the problem must be with the battery, give your contacts a quick wipe off, sometimes grease can accumulate there from... things because of... reasons, definately try a different battery though. Did it work in another mod?

process of elimination... remove atty, install battery press switch and see if it gets hot... if it does the mod has an issue. If not getting hot, check attys ohms, if good, install atty press button, if it gets hot again, then you may want to consider looking at the + pin on the bottom of the atty and see if it is leaning/loose and contacting the side of the thread barrel when under pressure when it is installed on the mod. If + pin is secure on atty then check the + pin on the mod for looseness and possible shorting....
