So last week I posted the issue with my Aw batt, I ordered new batts ultrafire lc's and things were fine. Today I put in a fully charged ultrafire and it died within like 5 hours. Am I just having a bad time with batts or could something wrong with the SB be killing the batteries? I'm just using 18650's with resurrectors if that matters.

All batteries that I've tried, excluding the JOYE 510 batteries, have been troublesome. Ego-T batteries appear to be reliable though I have had little experience with them. If you find a reliable battery, stick with it.

...... With a meter what would I be looking for if it were a high ohm short? ......

First, you're just looking to see if there is a high ohm short, and if there is then try to figure out what's causing it. For example, if you meter across the switch, you should read an open (no reading), but if there is a reading, then you may not be able to find out what's causing it, but at least you know to replace the switch. Then activate the switch and you should read a short, if not, then you're not getting full current through the switch.

A meter is always handy to check things. I've had a few attys and cartos go to a higher ohm reading, and I find the problem quickly because I can meter them.

so i picked up a multi meter and took a reading of a fresh charged battery in the silver bullet and it hit a consistent 4.1/2 with out a load. good. The dead battery was still eeking out around 2.9/3 without a load. I still am getting abysmal vape time with my 2400 mah 18650's like less than 5 hours. Is there a way to test my charger with the meter? It is a ultrafire wf-139 newer version with the raised positive terminals. Thanks!

It may be the charger . A lot of the cheaper charger terminate early . The only charger i know brings the battery off at exactly 4.2v is the Pila IBC . If your batt is coming off the charger at 3v then its not charging which could be the the charger wont initiate the charge at that low of a voltage . It is possible its the battery though . 3v is pretty much dead .

I'm thinking it is the battery, the other battery I got from the same vendor at the same time came off charge at 4.2v. I don't know, but I cant wait for my AW IMR to get here. If I like I'm gonna order three more and be done with Ultra/Trust/bad-fires.
