Hello I have been vaping about 3 yrs I use cisco 306's almost exclusively. I have a PS ICON and a PS legacy mini with kick. I am pretty into playing around with things and have lots of hobbies so i am thinking about getting a DID clone rebuildable. I am also kinda pragmatic so is this atty right for me. My biggest questions are how often do you replace the wick/coil. how much extra material would i need for say 6 months at about 15ml a week (I deploy in the navy so i always keep about this on hand).

I realize that there are lots of variables how often i mess up the set up and the like. I am just trying to get a feel from those that came before me.

lastly I am also interested in those that have tried and returned to pre-mades. was the rba better just not enough or what have you. thanks in advance for any replies.

I think that getting involved into any rebuildable atty is an awesome choice!! I love my genesis style attys, and I am really happy that I did get involved with them a long time ago. They do take some tinkering when setting them up in the beginning, but like anything else you will get the hang of it, and will be second nature! Check out some of my videos on the Genesis style devices, and see if it helps you out on your decisions!!

Here is a great setup vid that applies to genesis attys.
REVIEW OF THE GENESIS LINE V2 REPAIRABLE ATOMISER - YouTube

I really like them. Use 325 mesh with to avoid dry hits IMO. RiP Trippers sent me this and it was the most helpful advise I got when starting this rebuildable thing:
With a Genesis you should never have any dry hits if you are using the right materials and wrapping a correct coil. Make sure with any rebuildable you use 325 mesh even for pg. Never use 400. It just doesn't wick that well. Also, I am finding 28 gage A1 kanthal works the best right now as far as VTF goes. Keep in mind Genesis style atomizers are a different monster, and shouldn't be vaped anything like cartomizers, ce2s, disposable atomizers, etc... For example, before I got into Genesis style atomizers, I was all about vaping high voltages. I just thought high voltages were the bee's knees, but was totally mistaken when it comes to Genesis style atomizers. My favorite setup right now is a 5/4 wrap at 1.1 ohms on a Genesis style atomizer on a 3.7 volt device using the A1 28 gage Kanthal. The flavor is unlike anything else, TH is like a lighting bolt to the back of the throat, and the vaper, plumes and plumes of it. Once you try this setup you will never care about going back to high voltages, promise. :) Let me know if you have any other questions. RiP

A VV mod that reads your atty ohm is very nice. Plus you can bump up your volts as the coil breaks in. Its expensive but a Provari is hands down the best. Hit me up with any questions!!
