I have the Doge v1 and I was feeling that I was getting no flavor out it. It went unused for about a month, then yesterday I decided to give it another try. I put a single parallel coil in there using twisted 30g kanthal (this was my favorite build for my Mutation X V3, so I tried it in this guy) and the flavor is actually rather decent. I have the airflow closed off half way, which is actually as far as it can be closed before one of the dual coil slots starts to peek out the other end. I think the real difference maker is that I'm using a very short thin bore drip tip, it's literally half as wide as the stock derlin drip tip on my Mutation X. That huge row of heat sinking fins does a great job of cooling the vapor, but it does kill the flavor IMO. The thin bore drip tip concentrates the flavor and is much better than a wide bore tip on the Doge IMO.

You might be... i feel like the Doge and the Troll (all rev's i've tried which i have no idea mostly just people's builds in the shop) are very airy and produce "diluted" flavor. Too much air and the wattages normally used to "blow clouds bro" screw up the flavor in my experience. You might be building higher resistance... inhaling slower or wicking better than most if you're getting anywhere near "good" flavor from the Dodge :p

Don't have the v1, only the v2, but I'll tell you what, I get great flavor from a single coil on that thing. I have the mutation x v3, freakshow mini, vertex v2 (clone), and a zenith v2 and I can honestly say I like the doge the best. I even enjoy it wide open on a dual coil. I think the built in chuff cap is the best part. Love this thing.

Its more in how you build it, as with any dripper. To a certain extent, the more you restrict airflow, while matching your build to that reduced airflow, you will get more flavor. The Spheriod is a case in point. That little puppy puts out the flavor.
On the other hand, if you build for massive airflow. You will give up some flavor(cue all sorts of outrage...I truly feel that some folks are mixing up quantity with flavor) If you up the resistance in the Doge, and choke down the airflow, you will, to a point, get more flavor.
